| These overly dramatic cliffhangers sure are getting old quite fast, huh? Sure, Fukuda. Sure. Ashito doesn't have the physical state nor the mentality (or even the aspiration) of a defender and you only want to put him there because of his "eagle eye" vision? Laughable. If anything, he's more suitable for the middle-field given the concepts he has learned so far. Like imagine the poor kid trying to master the offside rule, for example. Now on a different note and based on the OP, it seems we will be getting even more of shithead Akutsu abusing Ashito for no apparent reason. Really not looking forward to that. |

| Holy smokes! The new opening looks so damn good. It has a cinematic feel to it. From what we saw, seems like we'll be seeing more of Akutsu vs Aoi. Kuribayashi is a beast on the field. I think Aoi incorporating Kuribayashi's plays into his own game without first mastering his own set of skills won't be useful for him at all. If anything it'll do more harm than any good. At least he's not dwelling on his mistakes anymore. Hmm, so I'm guessing that Aoi will make it into the A team and then his 'rivalry' with Akutsu will further develop. Hana is getting 'best girl' competition vibes from Anri lol Fukuda is planning on turning Aoi into a defender? A full-back? According to him, his ability to quickly scan the whole field and the players in it, or as I like to call it,'crow-eye ability' is best suited for a defender. Now that I think about it, it kinda seems logical. I don't know jack about football but Fukuda made some thought-provoking points and his proposal seems logical. A defender will be playing more passive and can use the 'crow eye ability' to scan the whole field and make plays that'll provide a great defence. Idk if Ashito will be able to do it though... The new Hana-themed ED is pretty cute, but the first ED is still better lol |

| Lol I guess that is a realistic thing with football and especially youth football, a lot of players start out wanting to be forwards ofc and get changed into other positions. I would actually prefer he stay as a forward but w/e idrc. New OP & ED, need some time to properly make my mind up on them. Think I like the ED already. |

| Oh nooo they beat Sagan Tosu! What will the Zombie Idols think! Interesting take on Physicality vs Technique from Kuribayashi. I see where he’s coming from. A lot of young players rely solely on their speed and strength to the point where it becomes a crutch and the rest of their game suffers because of it. Cannot say I wholly agree with that assessment though. A lot of the greatest forwards are physically rather strong: Diego Costa, Ibrahimovic, Lukaku. It’s what prevents them from just getting shoulder checked off the ball. Soccer is a contact sport and finesse can only get you so far. I would really consider lifting some weights if I were him. But anyway, it finally came! The great humbling our MC’s arc has been building towards. Not gonna lie, as a Defender myself I find his mental breakdown both kind of funny and a lil bit offensive *badum tsk* hehe get it? Just take a walk, kiddo. It’s gonna be ok. Offense wins you games but defense wins you trophies. We are the unsung heroes of the sports world but an integral part of it nonetheless. Defense is a thankless job and people only really notice you when you make a mistake. Great to see an anime finally focus on that aspect of the game. Not really very convinced by the reason he's being dropped to a full back though. Great situational awareness and offensive vision? Would he not be more suited for the midfield? Sure he’s allegedly poor in acceleration but he’s clearly got great stamina. No reason he can’t be a box to box midfielder. He’s got the tiki taka down too. Is it his trapping that’s the issue? Didn’t we solve that back in like episode 8 or something? Whatever. Plot stuff I guess. |

| Damn that was unexpected and also a really cool thing for the show to do imo. Having idiot MC here have to completely change his position because his skill suit defender better makes a lot of sense (at least the way it was explained to me) and should make for some great character growth as Aoi learns to play/accept a new position that he should be better at. |
| Thats a part of football that's rarely mentioned in fiction. You don't always get to play where you want to play. Many times in real life forwards turned into defenders at this level |
| Aoi was born and it was already over for his dream lol. At least the way he is now. He may lack something, but who says he can't acquire it? During his time as defender he could gain an unseen perspective that will complete him and that's Fukuda's intention. Also, Kuribayashi is an intriguing and I really enjoy the new thene songs. |

| I just witnessed a murder. They killed my boy, but defender, it’s not bad. However, I thought mid-field would suit him best, but coach Fukuda knows best. Side note: the opening’s animation was gorgeous. Drop your hopes and dreams and become a defender, basically. Call the ambulance, but not for me. You weren’t born to be a forward was straight up lethal men, fukuda went all out. |

| He's still a kid so I give him some pass. But man It just doesnt seem like the emotional outburst was quite merited from simply changing positions. I know it is all about scoring for him and he is naive but sheesh |
| Him being defender is really shocking and it gives a lot of character development. This anime is so different and at the same time better than PNG Lock |
