| To be honest, I was browsing for some figures online. I saw a figure of the main character from this. I don't like to make a habit out of buying figures from an anime I've never watched but I thought it looked so good that I bought it. I thought since I bought it, I should at least watch the anime! Should I watch all the other content to understand this or is it ok to start with this? Thanks! |

| It's essentially a retelling of the original story focusing on a new cast as well as old faces and the events that surround them while the original main cast is either off doing stuff in the original main story or unconscious after battles. While arcs present in the original story aren't as prevalent here there's a lot of characters from it that you should have some prior knowledge on. I still recommend at least trying the original series because it makes you appreciate a lot of the small things Saintia Shou does, not to mention the way it utilises specific characters does it assuming you know them. In which case the original's fine whether you experience the anime or manga. I just strongly urge skipping the Saintia Shou anime as it's a completely bastardised adaptation and opting for the manga instead, it condenses like 7-8 volumes into 10 episodes and badly. |
