All cards are laid on the table: Hosomichi feat. the Battery Girls vs. the True Army.

And it's pretty much an all-out situation, if not for the fact that Balzac didn't want a repeat of the Asakusabashi decimation all those years ago. He couldn't get rid of the fears of the past whilst building a future with Mimi in his Garanndoll, kinda of an idiotic story though that doesn't take itself seriously through love and passion. Balzac needed a clean break from his past's failures, and Mimi helped open his eyes at the very least.

The mecha battle felt like I was watching modern SD Gundam if only on crack (that's where the Rumble reference comes from), but who'd knew that Balzac and Mimi were the final key to this ludicrious fight to the death to save Arahabaki from the Exhibition Center bomb dropping that's a ploy from the higher-ups of the True Army that used Commander Akatsuki as just a scapegoat.

I can respect this show for being so wack that it's hard to take anything seriously. But it just isn't for me.

Well the Animation was pretty good. Though this isn't much popular as other show.
I enjoyed it. Who would have thought Mimi loved Yamada. LOL
Though Yamada and Mimi Makes a very good couple. I appreciate it.
Thanks.

Excellent final episode.

For me, this was the dark horse show of the season. The character designs were cute, the voice acting was great, the story was interesting, and it had a great mixture of comedy and action.

If this show had a bigger budget, I think it could have been even better. Watching the final few episodes, I could tell that they just ran out of time, as some scenes had weird cuts, and some scenes were not even animated. However, the overall quality of animation stays good and, in fact, the final episode probably had the best animation quality.

The final episode was open-ended, and yet satisfying. Here is to hoping we get some form of a continuation to finish the story.

Well I for one thought this was great, an open love letter to the passion of otaku. Look what a boring sterile world with nothing but war it would be (and was) without them. My only complaint was that he didn't confess just to Rin. Also so was Natashia real or not?

Just in time for Comiket 99. Battery girls represent three pillar of otaku culture, anime, videogame, idol, of course there are other pillars, like train otaku, or subculture pillar like cosplayer, which is the former battery girl.

I'll have to give credit where it's due, the producers did their best when they wanted the show to be fun and off the rails. But they were also the best when they wanted the show to be a slog and boring as fuck in the slow and totally unnecesary parts.

Yamada and specially Munakata were unsuferable blabbermouths that served very little to no purpouse, and the times they did either positively or negatively to the protagonists, they earned their place as characters I'd like to punch in the face.

Wished the invading army were at least silly in some ways, they tried so hard the role of being the upright and virtue signaling nationalists that were just dropped by their own superiors for plot convenience reasons. At least they shouild had been something like Wiseman from Last Period, they were charming and loveable goofs that even overshadowed at times the main protagonists.

This gets a meh 4/10 from me.

love is the greatest passion for sure but damn ye Hosomichi did a harem route but i think he loves Rin the most though

they can make a second season (or just leave it open ending one since this show might be a flop) if they wanted with how they gonna help the Military Japan fight their enemies and also what is that leader girl actually she is a complete mystery

anyway if you want peace prepare for war, like degeneracy or decadence can make you unprepared for war

but then as long as you have passion or love for something you can spread pacifism i guess, spread the otaku culture for people to be pacifists worldwide, live and let live

Mimi is best girl or best woman of this show btw second is Rin

I feel that this anime had more love put into it than many of the most popular ones of each season. Everything came together at the end and created a show that was well-rounded and unexpectedly fun to watch.
I really enjoyed having Hosomichi as MC and despite not being particularly fond of the tropes each girl represented, I came to like them too. Definitely worth the watch!

Won't lie, that whole backstory as to the reason why that past event happened, was kinda shitty. With how serious they treated it, it's then turned into basically a 'LOL' moment. Bit of a let down there. Fun show, but that just smh.

I liked this anime more than I thought I would’ve. However, I wished there was more romance in it between Rin and Hosomichi.

Nice end, I couldn't imagine what the grand finale would be like, of this show, had a little flashback of a character that that doesn't stop being curious.
This anime was pretty average but the context was nice as a plot.

less edit problems than previous, but Shark red's first attack was offscreen, we didn't see the power level, so all the warning from Balzac was confusing.
Quite a few gar music esp classic OP during the nice fights.
oof Mimi burned Balzac to a crisp.
It's cool how it integrates Hosomichi's empty shell & playboy themes into the group.
Enjoyed this crazy comedic mecha, with bits of nice philosophic dialog & character growth.
Villains like Akatsuki & Hayate could've had more characterization, guess it opens potential for sequel exploring True Army side.

Ah, what a fun final. This is what i truly want as the rumble garandoll final. The power of love so strong until you can't decide whats better or worst, its, just, love. Hosomichi loved all the girls, even though its sounds underwhelming because you might thinking its not suited or he should've choice one. But its perfectly match up to his character as a playboy and the host of the battery girls. Kekw to the false Yamada backstory about the incident, absolutely the opposite of Hosomichi situations with all the girls, and for the worst, he just denied the fact in front of lots of people xd. Glad that he acknowledged the passion in the end, and with the maxed element, Hosomichi and the battery girls, got the end result pretty good enough. Nice!

Like i said, this is a fun final, with such a lovely moe art and decent mecha fight animation. As for the overall, i am just gonna mark this at good. Why? Shiny general loli might hold the reason xd. There's a chance to explore more about the other side of those wack world called the True Army, and might changed them onto a cultured nation. But for this wild ride only, good is enough statement for all the fun. No more and less....

The budget restraints hold back this show,7/10.But this show is a great basis for a mecha harem franchise. It terms of character development and theme exploration, the show nearly nails it.

I really hope the author makes another show with a better improved version of the same concepts.

Seriously a great foundation for better mecha and harem anime is here!

Well, this had a great complete story, I just wish it was thoroughly animated to the end. This show has a lot of potential and I would love to see more like this, but unfortunately, due to the production issues, I think it didn't have a good enough public reception for a 2nd season, which is a shame.

Not a fan of harem, I expected Hosomichi to say something special to Rin, but meh, it was a good ending.

This anime is pretty funny, like Daimidaler and Akiba's Trip combined into one.

I hope there's 2nd season, I want to see the True army get wrecked and more story about the True army commander and subordinates.

Mediocre show till the end. Man, if at the very least the MC wasn't this absolute blank slate chud for 90% of the show there'd be something decent.

Also fuck the money lender. Absolute bastard till the end. Cannot believe they expect us to like him.

Also please stop calling this a harem. There's at most two love interests.

This studio is quite good for the animation quality, but here there are many empty scenes with dialogue & enlarged scenes, i don't know what was censored, maybe the work was too rushed.

The story is very predictable and takes a lot of references from similar anime, just for entertainment it's still fine.

A less arty and more professional version of Urahara

I could feel the producers' love and energy in the plot and characters, which is more than I can say for 2/3 of the shows I watched this season, but I could never really connect to the MCs or the main plot

5/10 I think

this was a fun finale to a fun show. :> sure it's a shallow one, but do we all want every anime to be deep and meaningful? nope. the slapstick over the top comedy ones are fun. the goofball weirdo bizarre ones are fun.

of course they had to insert that one classic meme line! 'how many true forms does it actually have?'

if this one doesn't get a S2 at least the show-runners had a blast with what they've done. yeah, i wish they hadn't used that classic 'money saver' trick of doing voice-overs atop unanimated stills during this show. but hey, this finale was better than the finale for 'Tesla Note' on that point. THAT show's finale used MORE THAN SIX MAJOR SCENES with just 'voiced stills and backgrounds' in THE FIRST SIX MINUTES!
just an ol school American otaku enjoyin the life. don't sass me kiddies, i've been otaku probably since before you were born. leave me in peace and i won't bother you either.

Really great premise that ultimately fell short of what I was hoping for.. the first episode was so good (the awakening scene where the op starts playing.. the cut in... so good). Akibastrip was a lot better and consistent imo.. think I'll rewatch that in fact..

Some of the wacky stuff was fun and Rin as character (both normal as chibi) was especially adorable to see but the rest was kinda meh to me, overall a decent series.

A bit disappointed because of that weirdly epic scene of bringing the building onto the sea or pool of waters but it was enjoyable because of the various characters in this story, their attitudes towards one another and also their outlook of not ever giving up for their dreams. This is an inspiring story but it could've been better.

The OP was really great at helping my consciousness before I watched every episode.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Well this was a ride...

This anime was...quite simply wack and goofy asf. But it KNEW it was wack and goofy asf. That's kind of the entire charm behind it. It almost felt like it was parodying the themes it was displaying at times and it just kind of...worked?

This was surprisingly enjoyable. 7/10
