| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- 90 minutes of intense racing packed with an awesome Eurobeat playlist. There are some cool camera angles here & there (especially the 10th battle featuring AE 86 vs. AE86) However, I'm disappointed because of one main reason. The characters have NO dialogue! None! Battle Stage 3 doesn't even have any of the voice actors from the Initial D series. We only get to see the faces of the drivers many times during the race battle. Their faces look stiff but sometimes their facial expressions change. It's too bad that Battle Stage 3 didn't even include some inner monologue among the drivers. That would have made this more interesting and we could have understood what's going on in the drivers' minds during the racing battles. We only see the drivers' faces, but no dialogue or inner monologue. This feels stupid. It's like the drivers are robots driving their sports cars. Why? That took away most of my enjoyment of Battle Stage 3 but the Eurobeat playlist is still pretty cool. It's too bad I can't rate this any higher than 6/10. smh. |
