Four Years... No Season 2?

Boy, does time fly, isn't it?

It felt like yesterday that this show was premiering and for the fans of the original 1998 series which many consider it their personal favorite Anime ever including myself got excited and wanted to know more.

Clear Card-hen was fine but it wasn't enough and ended in a cliffhanger so, with plenty of series having 5... 6 seasons, they should start considering this show, as well.

Do you see in return in 2022 or a bit late or never? It took about 20 years since its predecessor so... who knows?

I would love to see another season, especially since I've been reading the manga and keeping up with it for the past few years. I did like that the manga does explain what happened to the Sakura cards around the point where season 1 ends. Honestly it's hard telling when we are gonna get another season, maybe they're waiting for the manga to end since it's still going and hard to tell how much farther it will go.

my guess is that since it hasn't gotten another season by now, it never will. I would honestly just pick up the manga, I'm enjoying it a lot so far

Honestly I've given up hope at this point. If you want to wait for another eternity do as you please but I despise cliffhanger endings so back to the manga for me

I translated that tweet in DeepL and it doesn’t really say anything about a new anime project at all. It’s mostly talking about how the original anime came out 25 years ago (except the original anime came out in 1998, so it would actually be 24 this year, but whatever) and how they made a new illustration to celebrate the occasion.

The tweet does seem to imply there might be some sort of announcements coming later on, so… maybe?

The question here is... Is there enough manga material to make 2nd season of the anime?
On the other hand, I would rather wait till they'll finish manga... cause otherwise we'll get another cliffhanger.

Thank you, this is exactly what I wanted to know.

Definitely a little irritated about that cliffhanger ending. Good thing I’ll be able to binge read/watch the whole thing at some point. Then I’ll have to go through Tsubasa and XXXHolic again. Can’t wait!
