I've already seen the Infinity Train movie, and I've heard Ep1 of this has original content, is there anymore original content in this and is it a necessity for the next season? I'm asking this coz I don't wanna watch this recap series of the movie and get depressed again.

Yeah, Ufotable shouldn't have made the Tv version. It is only making people more confused in the long run. If you have watched the Movie, then you don't need to watch the tv version as it adds nothing new. Even if the first episode is original, it adds nothing to the overall plot either. So you're fine just watching the Entertainment district arc.

The Entertainment District Arc is original and it’s continue.

I rewatched the tv series recently since it had been a while since I watched the movie. The first episode is indeed not in the movie and added some nice details about Rengoku getting on the train, so if you like him and like additional character building, sure, check it out. Otherwise I would say you are fine if you just watched the movie, the tv series serves as a good recap but you can go without it.
It is however essential in my opinion to watch at least one of the two as the new series connects directly to where the movie left off.

You don't need to watch the TV series. It's pretty much an optional thing.

If you've seen the movie, the first episode is kind of like a prequel to the movie. The other 6 is just the movie itself.

Saying that Ufotable shouldn't have made a TV version because it confusing people more is ridiculous. Like there will always be some people too lazy to do some 2min research, they rather ask "dumb" questions instead. The countless watch order or skip threads are proof enough.

There are articles who give false information. They'd rather ask who have actually watched the series.

I'm 1000% sure the question has also already been answered on this subboard countless times.

If you've watched the movie, then no. If you haven't watched the movie, you should watch it (or this season) then do the red light district arc.

No. It's exactly the same as the movie. They have just divided the infinity train movie into 7 episodes.

The first episode is original, but it's not canon, it's just an extra mission with Rengoku so you get more attached to the character and feel for him on his ultimate fate, it's ok if you Skip it, the rest of the episodes are just the exact same thing except with some improved shots, there's no need to watch them if you've seen the movie

On the other hand, if you haven't seen the movie, i would agree this is the way to experience the story, ufotable did fix a couple things and made some of the fighting shots look even better

Thanks, I did like Rengoku, I'm sure everybody did, so I will check out just the first ep then. I have seen the movie so I guess I'm good to go

Thanks, you say the series is better, but also it's kinda pointless why'd ufotable do this knowing the movie was the highest grossing film in Japan, like probably over 95% of people saw the movie, I get its a recap and a small percentage of people haven't seen the movie, but they should've just done an OVA.

Sorry I went off topic there

Why do i think the 7 episodes are the way to go? Simple, they fixed some stuff (specially editing and some music mistakes the movie had) added a couple seconds worth of new footage (nothing special but gives context, like tanjiro's soul saving that kid's life giving him a reason to actually help him, or some shots of Nezuko fighting the train, of course the fight with akaza has more frames, etc) i think if the show is more complete than the movie, then watch the show, did they make a mistake? Well yes, but they didn't make the show pointless, it's worth watching only if you haven't watched the movie or if you are just starting the series, instead they made the movie pointless. There's already a video on youtube making a side by side comparison of all the changes

The only difference between the movie and tv versions of Mugen train is that the tv version has some added content and switched the order of some events. Not much is missed by skipping it

'common' sense would tell you that this is just the tv adaption of the movie and there is no need to watch it if you've seen the movie

Oh, ok, you make a fair argument, the movie had to be cut down for movie length, maybe that's one of the reasons why there was less scenes in it, I'll check that YouTube vid you mentioned
