THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
It's the last one for now. So much happened in this episode (and we're just in the middle of it all) but I'll just iterate the part where Poisonous Gangster now has a dedicated MV from the anime \o/ It's a shame the stage didn't rise just like in 2nd live but the tumblings were my absolute favorite and the smoke screen where they disappeared with it.

Let's take our time to thank the staff behind this anime, as well as the seiyuus who gave life to each and every character in this series and hyping with us.

2nd cour will be on 2022. I'm betting January at most since split cour anime usually have 1 season break (3 months).

Zool is very suspicious, but they're not the villain that RIT (Re:Vale/Idolish7/Trigger) need to fight. In fact I'm wondering why Zool can't rise in a normal way like other idol groups do, they've sexy voice and sexy body (especially this reason LOL). And their personality aren't that bad (are they?). Something must happened in the past that prevent each Zool's member from success, and I can't wait to learn about it in the next season.

So we have finally arrived at the end of the first cour. Honestly, I thought it will end at another point so I'm glad that we don't have to suffer too much for the second cour with this ending... get ready for what's coming, that's all I'm gonna say.

This season was amazing and TROYCA did an excellent job once again. I do hope we get the second cour in January.

ZOOL I love you!

I know stool Zool's (what a silly name lol) introduction was the highlight of this ending but I gotta say, I absolutely love how this series incorporates its side characters, particularly those of the opposite sex. Like last ep literally had that generic self insert manager-character show that even she has her own troubles and this ep with Sumire-chan and how she's basically fucked in the head lol. I really love the worldbuilding this series provides

also ngl I thought that reoccurring fan would find Nanase when he was hiding and they'd have some interaction. I guess a nanase x random fan ship is too reaching :P

but anywho overall yet another fantastic season. I don't think it was as good as the last one (mainly because Mitsuki's story was just too damn good lol) but it still had some good stories with Yamato's and Re:Vale getting more development. Plus Ryo is an absolute amazing villain (better one than Kujo if you ask me)

tbh the only thing i dislike about the ending is how Zool isnt rlly good. Their song and vocal where lacking compared to the other 3 ngl, i was expecting better with all that hype about them being a "drug" and shit and just for some medicore song and dancing

man they did a good job at making you feel like zool's a group of shit heads who actually pose a threat to the already established groups
i can't name a single likeable trait of any of the members except for touma being a riku simp but i am so excited to see just how their massive hate b'ner for idols, and trigger in particular, came about

i also find it really interesting that this season tackled a lot of taboo topics in the idol industry such as dating and how easy it can be for powerful people to manipulative the public using their ties to the media

it's a 9 overall for me

Poisonous Gangster is a bop but it isn't one of their best. Bang!Bang!Bang!, 4-ROAR and Sasagero -You Are Mine-, though...... chef's kiss.

Wow, before I wasn't really into Haruka's character, but his animation is making me really like him more haha. Second to Touma though of course. We finally get to see ZOOL sing and I have to say, the flashy way they debuted really was cool even though Poisonous Gangster is still one of my more less liked song of ZOOL's. Can't wait for the next cour.

Sadly, I would say there's no chance those songs will be in the next season, if you mean the second part of Third Beat. Bang!Bang!Bang! would appear if a fourth season of Idolish7 happens, but near the end of it. Sasagero - You Are Mine and 4-ROAR are songs released in ZOOL's album, einsatZ, so I'm not sure if they would even be included in the anime. And if they happened to actually be included in the anime it would have to be after Bang!Bang!Bang! imo.

However, I do agree that these three are some of ZOOL's best songs as of right now! It's just unlikely they'll make an appearance anytime soon in the anime.

Hmm, I'm not quite too certain what you mean by that, but I would say yes, kind of?

To further explain what I meant though is that in I7, from what I gather since I don't have the game, is that there's songs for the game storyline, which is what the anime follows, like "Poisonous Gangster", "Perfection Gimmick", and etc., but then there's still other songs made for the franchise. There are a few songs made for big events in the game like there's a song called "My Precious World" by TRIGGER, for an event in the game called La Danse Macabre. There's some solo songs released in celebration of character's birthdays like how Touma has a song called "Endless", Riku has a song called "SEPTET for...", and all the other characters having at least one solo song.

Then, they do release albums for the groups sometimes. Just recently TRIGGER had a new album released called VARIANT, which released 2 new TRIGGER songs called "VALIANT" and "Baratsuyu", and before that, like I mentioned before, there was ZOOL's album called einsatZ. From what I can tell those songs are all in the game (with the exception of ZOOL having two songs from the einsatZ album apparently not in the game where one is a Mido+Touma song and the other is a Haruka+Nanami song), but they're not songs in I7's game plot so I just believe it's unlikely they would actually be included in the anime which follows I7's game plot.

The only way I see it happening is if they do it like I7's first season where in episode 12 around the 9:30-ish minute mark where they had the songs "Fly Away!" (Riku+Iori) and "Pythagoras Fighter" (Yamato+Mitsuki+Nagi) appear very briefly. But like I said before for ZOOL, "Sasagero" and "4-ROAR" would be songs that would have to appear after "Bang!Bang!Bang!" imo because those two are kind of like songs created after the stuff that happened in Part 4 of the game-storyline and we're still only in the game's Part 3 storyline.

Game player here, Fly Away/Pythagoras Fighter are actually game story songs. There's actually a few game story songs they cut out of the anime like The Funky Universe in S1 (The song they performed with Douglas Rootbank) and No Doubt in S3 (right before the Re:vale backstory) which weren't too important so they could be removed. So don't expect the ZOOL album songs to appear LOL

Oh, okay! I wasn't sure if Fly Away and Pythagoras Fighter were actually game story songs haha. But yeah, if even some game story songs that aren't too relevant get cut out of the anime then it really is unlikely we'll get the album songs in the anime sadly! Post-Part 4 ZOOL songs starting with "Bang!Bang!Bang!" were the songs from ZOOL I really liked haha, the three songs before that were okay, I had to get used to them, but they really were not my favorite.

Pretty good first half. My favourite part is how they handled everyone is this season and finally we have an antagonist group that feels connected to several characters. Probably they need to make the main antagonist less evil cuz I can't take him seriously sometimes.

8/10 for the anime.

Love 'em or hate 'em, ZOOL's declaration of war was undeniably top notch. I've been captivated by I7 thus far, but this cliffhanger has especially left me intoxicated with anticipation for the next part to come.

When I picked this up, I was expecting something more along the lines of Uta Pri. And while that is enjoyable in its own rights, I7 has far surpassed what I thought I was getting into. Each of the three major groups has made for an all-star cast that I couldn't get enough of. I also love how IDOLiSH7's journey to stardom was only the first major step into a far more vast world of idol lore & drama that only continues to add further intrigue with each new season. The production quality & CGI performances have been some of the most expressive & stimulating that I've ever seen, right up there with BanG Dream & the more recent entries of Love Live. All in all, I've been star struck by this series and it's easily among my favorite idol anime now.

9/10

On a side note, I've loved seeing the little moments with the I7 fans. When that girl got her Riku button, I was so happy for her. I was lowkey hoping she'd run into Riku and get to encourage him. One of my favorite things about this genre is seeing how idols constantly uplift & encourage those around them.

Well, it was an okay finale. I just don't like Sumire's character. She's pretty annoying.

I think the two first seasons were better. I loved Re:vale's backstory and those training camp episodes, but the rest of the season was more or less average.

I definitely want to know more of Zool after this ending!! That song was good but the performance was great 😍😍. I don't personally like them cause they all seem mean but I want to know them better to understand how they got to be who they are.

Also, thank you, people, for recommending other Zool's songs. I fell in love with Sasagero omg 😍😍😍

I do not have a good feeling about ZOOL at all. I feel like I will never grow to like them, and unlike TRIGGER, they seem ten times more unlikeable. Their attitudes suck compared to Trigger, even when Trigger was first shown. I’m scared for the other three idol groups. Plus their song was overrated. Let’s hope that ZOOL comes to their senses and the scandal between Ryuunosuke and Sumire ends

Honestly, the first two seasons were better. This season wasn’t as good
