As much as people in the west love this manga even if its brand new people in Japan don't really seem to love it that much continuously placing at the last three in the shonen jump rankings. As much as i hate to say it i don't see this series going on for long if it doesn't pick up the pace popularity wise in Japan

Lmao do some fucking research before spouting nonsense. Just look at this
https://comicbook.com/anime/news/the-hunters-guild-red-hood-new-manga-fan-reactions/
And it;s only 9 chapters.

Western popularity doesn't matter in the slightest, I'd try to find some JP accounts instead

Well if it got cancelled that would be totes lame yo.

I hope the first manga I decide to follow regularly doesn't fall of a cliff like that.

I think they're waiting to see the sales of volume 1 before making a decision. I wouldn't be surprised if it was cancelled.

It's good and only 9 chapters are there. Would be dumb to axe it when the series has so much potential.

“Continuously placing at the last three”?
This is entirely false. Red Hood has placed at the bottom three only once so far. Besides that, it has been placed in the top 10 consistently, as can be seen here: https://www.jajanken.net/en/sakuhins/D68414l0N4 . Even last week, which many considered to be Red Hood’s first “official ranking,” saw it place at 8th.
On top of that, reception of more recent chapters has skyrocketed in the Japanese market compared to the earlier chapters, which is what the current low ToC ranking is likely based off of. In fact, after the reveal of this low ranking, support for Red Hood shot so high that “レッドフード” was trending on Japanese Twitter.
Beyond even that, many highly respected manga artists in Japan are praising the series, with even Dr.Stone’s Boichi-sensei stating that he is “studying the art as a way to improve his skill.”
Then, as others have mentioned, volume 1 has yet to release, and the sales figures for that could also play a huge role in the survival of the series.
All-in-all, people are waaaaaaaay overreacting to this one bad rating. Give it another month: if at that time the series is still ranking in the bottom three, then I’d say it’s safe to predict a cancellation.
