Not sure why everybody's doing it That's quite the exaggeration. At most, a BD would come out a little less than a year later. (Sometimes its an instant release. The upcoming Kakushigoto Movie is literally selling BDs at the theaters). And assuming there's at least a decent following behind a movie, it would get subs relatively quickly. Not to mention... Yeah, anime movies get theatrical releases outside of Japan too. Of course it depends on your country. But in the U.S. at least, anime movies usually get pretty wide releases these days. |

| ok ... so ... they (Japan) can make a chibi movie... but can't make a Shield Hero S2 in LESS THAN 2 YEARS? even with four solid production months (SEP 1, 2019 was the S2&3 announcement) BEFORE anybody got covid in 2020? if you think of the July announced delay of SH2 from Oct '21 to Apr '22 that's a SIX MONTH delay... announced... THREE MONTHS before the premier... so that's a NINE month backlog... or more! in the production schedule. |
