tbh I felt that first half was boring liked first season(purely personal opinion, no intention of offending fans) BUT i really liked the second half specially the last couple of eps.
Though one thing is bugging me. Can any original source material reader can confirm .I still can understand why Mjurran was forgiven. She was the main cause of all the deaths yet 10000 men were devoured. I read somewhere in only anime she was forgiven not in original source material
It is shocking to find how many people do not believe they can learn, and how many more believe learning to be difficult.

Yes she’s forgiven. Also first half of the second season was pretty slow. They spent a few episodes doing things that could’ve been condensed into like half an ep.

She was more than likely forgiven, because killing her would be a bigger disadvantage than an advantage politically. Killing her gives the demon lord who had her under his control a sign that shes been found out and disposed of, but on the other hand faking her execution and then using her to their advantage gives advantages such as intel on the demon lords methods, and another talented combatant for the following season starting july 6th
Being human is making mistakes.

By forgiving I don't mean why she wasn't executed , u r completely right that keeping her alive is more advantageous but she was forgiven(i mean her actions really didn't matter).

The first half had to play catch up with things they omitted in the first season. Going forward it’s full action and badassery with even more expanding in the world, character development and story development coming from the source material. Not to boost but the coming story is gonna be a lot fun to watch.
Now about Myuraan. She wasn’t forgiven so much as converted to Rimuru’s side as an agent that now has strong ties and reasons to follow Rimuru willingly. Plus at the time, they needed a human mage since the barrier was weakening the monsters (I think)and Youm pleaded w Rimuru to be understanding.

It was made clear in the manga that she was essentially a puppet and that she felt hopeless. I don't know about the light novel but rimuru was angrier at Clayman for using her than at her. Plus he could see that she and Youm are genuinely in love. I mean its not like he doesn't hold her responsible for her actions whatsoever.

For the first half of the second season, they adopted 2 vol (volume 4 and 5) of the LN, but for the up coming second half they are trying to adopt only 1 vol (volume 6) which would be even slower than the first half.
I haven’t read the source material myself so for those who have, is it really justifiable to adopted only one volume for an entire 12 episodes?

Nah it won’t be slower because volume 6 is full of action.

Probably because rimuru realized about he's situation and feel pity of him let's just say rimuru has good personality and an understanding slime i guess..........

Also rimuru can't gain anything from Killing mjurran and as the guy said above rimuru can take advantage of him........
