| Hello, I’ve watched all of the Fate/SN routes (haven’t gotten around to reading the VN yet) but I don’t want to watch the Tsukihime anime because i haven’t heard the best things about it. Can i watch this without knowing the characters or story of Tsukihime? I’ve heard lots of great things about this show so I really want to give it a try. |
| Considering it's also a parody of Tsukihime as well, I'd say you'd have to read Tsukihime first |

| I did watch this before watching tsukihime . I was confused for the tsukihime parts but found the fate parts really good. After reading tsukihime I find it funnier now so I'd reccomend reading tsukihime first |
| Without seeing Tsukihime most of the jokes make 0 sense. |

You do need to read Tsukihime to understand most of Carnival Phantasm. In fact, to get the whole picture, you kind of need to go through all of Type-Moon's works before CP, otherwise you'd be lost as to who Hibiki, Chika, Riesbyfe, Sion and everyone who cameos in the ending are. |
