Me too, they've stayed pretty faithful to the manga so far so I was surprised to see they removed it. It didn't make sense in the manga to me, Shion was his friend after all. What kind of psychopath would get turned on seeing their friend (whether they're a female or not) getting r-worded? XD

i know. i genuinely found it disgusting. but also the part about him saying he doesnt like seeing other people touch whats his - was also just so bad. i do hate his character ngl xddd

Haha, unfortunately this is such a common trope in yaoi (the seme being possessive and toxic) that it doesn't shock or disgust me seeing it anymore. I am numb to it in this context. But what I'm not numb to is an inconsistent character. The dichotomy of him being simultaneously possessive, but also enjoying seeing Shion being sexually assaulted, is just bad writing!

Enjoying this series so far but I still can't help but ask myself... out of all the good shounen ai manga in the world... why this one for an anime adaptation? Haha.

please be aware that i read it a while ago for the first time, so you could still find it a bit problematic but i really do like it even if nostalgia plays into it a bit xddd

( also the closest i could find to decent representation of gay couples in yaoi is Umibe no Étranger (theres a movie and a manga of this) and its sequel, Harukaze no Étranger. really recommend those!! )

Kinda funny episode. The only reason I picked up this series was because I thought the idea of televised hentai was an entertaining concept in and of itself (though needless to say I couldn't find a single upload of the aired version beyond the first episode).

I'm not into yaoi, but even if I was I'd still probably be put off by this. The whole 'your body reacted to being sexually stimulated and thus justifies me raping you' trope within hentai is very cringe to me.

How do we relationship by tmfly is a pretty good example of a manga I like within a genre I don't (that being yuri). Usually I'm more considerate of whether something will work for me before sinking any time in, though I admit I was being pretty unfair with what I chose to watch today.
