| When I first heard that there was going to be a Skateboarding anime by Bones I was skeptical but very excited. I didn't want it to end up being some shitty boring take on skating, but this first episode was fucking good. As someone who loves to skate I'm going to enjoy this show very much, probably going to end up being my aots if the quality is consistent. If you skate too I'd like to hear your thoughts |

| As a fellow skater (skater sin 2006) .... i'm so friking happy. Great sakuga, downhill jam style competition + fun characters <3 I'm really hoping to see some references to tony hawk, mike vallely, rodney, haslam, daewon song, etc. I'm also hoping that the villain subplot is not stupid or overly dramatic/edgy |

| tbh, i already knew when the first trailer came out that i would hate this. the dumb character designs. downhill racing on a dirt track (on street wheels!). board shapes even dumber than the Krooked Street Phantom. also i just cant believe the one guy said ''i even had a pro tune it for me'' like thats not how setting up a board works. imagine bombing a hill on trucks youre not familliar with (cause thats what he was about to do). lots of people wont even drop in on anothers board without knowing what the trucks feel like. tottobennington said: I'm also hoping that the villain subplot is not stupid or overly dramatic/edgy it already is. |

| As someone who skates, I thought it was a decent first episode. Great animation and I liked the characters but I found it so ridiculous that Langa was doing crazy tricks. I physically cringed when he just imagined snowboarding when he was like 12 and immediately knew how to skate like Rodney Mullen lmao. I also cringed so hard when he grinded with his board sideways. I still enjoyed it though, the first episode gets an 8/10. |

Who goes into an anime expecting realistic representation? I want all the weird dramatic anime shit with it cause that’s what makes it fun for me. Don’t watch sports anime if you want realistic a show, most of them aren’t. |

Mate, we don't expect it to be realistic but this is just over the top mate, its like if slam dunk put every basket ball stereotype into it, a black dude wearing nikes and eating fried chicken with watermelon juice next to his blood gang members who have uzi's on their hips. Slam dunk delivered balance, an essence of what basketball is and an anime querk to it, the major baseball series has done it for years from goro shigeno's major season 1 to 7 till his sons anime daigo shigeno's major 2nd Season 1 and 2. They both had accurate representation of what the culture and sport is. Not once has anyone raced downhill on a board, only a very bleak minority of skaters are punk, we're not crazy jojo hooligans we're your average guy who wears a hoodie some bagg pants and Vans or maybe lakais who own a 8.25 board and wear normal streetwear outfits. Its 2021 and the first time skaters get an anime we get a spit to the face of every stereotype there is? Hell some teens at my local skate park came up with cruisers wearing sk8 the infinity merch and poser as sht outfit asked me to a race and when i refused he said its probably becuase i was a newbie. I didn't put my heart and passion, created a skate company and put 3 years into my life to get stereotyped. yeah im so happy this wasnt a good skating anime |
