DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn, it looks like there are certain monsters with a level of intelligence comparable to Kumoko herself in this anime. It goes to show that it's always best to expect the unexpected. That is one intelligent Mother though. Kumoko got put into a dangerous spot this episode. |

| Sending the brains to destroy mother from the inside was sound strategy though Mother proved far more cunning than suspected and far more powerful. For something so big she sure was fast. The tag team of mother and her minions had some damm good timing. That puppet though sure was a unexpected asset in mother's arsenal. The battle between Kumoko and mother as well as her minions really was quite the tense affair. Curious to see what Kumoko's evolved form will be like though as she will need far more strength to be able to defeat mother and her minions. On the human side things look just as dire. With just one strike Hugo has almost the whole world in his grasp. Looks like Schlain will be having quite the steep learning curve if he hopes to stop Hugo. |

| I love Kumoko's interaction with her own selves. She's so adorable in those moments. But holy shit, the mother is outside and she ain't playing games anymore, and those stats of her. She was on a total rampage. And Kumoko is back in the labyrinth and now she's in a mess. What an intense episode. Kumoko really got her hands full in this episode. Poor little spider just wants to live a peaceful life. |

| Things were looking really desperate for Kumoko but whew she managed to stay alive by outsmarting those Archs and the puppet. That puppet was serioucly creepy, I wonder if mother is controling it using threads. Mother turned out to be far smarter than Kumoko thought and it makes sense since according to the post credit scene that dungeon is the world's largest labrynith. So as a top monster of that dungeon ofc she's smart and opaf. |

| Damn I’m gradually becoming more and more invested in the kumoko eps as the weeks go by. This episode’s fight sequences were so intense, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time feeling scared for her life lol. That special tesseract she fought looks like it’s gonna be trouble. And with Shun and co using the labyrinth as an escape route, a confrontation with kumoko seems inevitable. |

| Wow that was a really tough fight, the parallel minds are in a bad situation because of Mother but for Kumoko it was even worse, and she's back in the underground xD that kind of mecha spider is concerning though it's weird how OP it was, but Kumoko is doing great at least... also it seems like the human situation for the other timeline with Shun is still pretty bad but if they can defeat Hugo and save Sue it would be good. |

| It's crazy to think this is the same studio behind Berserk 2016 because the 3d animation looked really solid this episode. In fact, I'd definitely say the 3d at this point looks a lot better than the 2d. |

| Dam after the somewhat disappointing last episode, this was fun as hell. The fight was probably one of the tenses in the series and it was honestly great, the CG is honestly really good in this, especially the puppet, the 3D honestly helped with the creepiness. |
| I've gotta say that Kumoko is better left spending her carefree life as a spider away from her clones who are tracking the Queen Taratect Mother's every move...which of course, fails spectacularly and leaving herself to retrieve Kumoko with her minions. Run for your life and survive, Kumoko! The fight with the puppet in fully rendered 3DCG is probably one of the better implementations of CGI in the action department so far in this show, and that Kumoko faces a real deal trouble with the barrage of attacks from enemies surrounding her. Another evolution from Ede Saine to Zona Horowa, every evolution makes Kumoko stronger. And Shun must face reality with the Demon Lord's underlings with whatever good that they have left...will they eventually meet Kumoko on their way and defeat the False Prince Hugo? |

| This was actually really good.. Kumoko shows that she doesn't need her parallel minds to kick ass. I'm curious to see what the rest of the season will bring. The puppet spider was surprising, I thought the mother was controlling it at first, but it seems it was sentient? I also find it strange the mother waited so long to go after her special child.. Would have been a lot easier to take her down/control her while she was still in the labyrinth. Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next episode. |

| Her mother really sees her as a threat, at least in the future, but I wonder ... kill her just because she left the nest? what a possessive mother The puppet that did not appear in the evolutionary line makes me infer that the evolutionary line is unlocked by continuing to evolve, mysteries |

| This was a battle of the minds. Kumoko thought she had the upper hand on her mother, but the Spider Queen was a lot smarter than she thought. When the Queen blasted the cave ceiling I was shocked, I was not expecting that huge of a blast. The whole episode was like a non-stop chess match and I loved it. The only thing I didn't like was how creepy the muppet was. There were moments where I thought she was going to die. Can't wait to see her new form in the following episodes. It looks like the next episode is going to focus on her classmates and I'm okay with that. |

| Kumoko-only episode this week (excluding the post-credits scene). We finally got to the mother fight! Although short-lived, the escape was really close-cut, along with the battles back in the cave - the puppet spider seems interesting too. ^^ |

| Let it never be said I don't love a good power up! Loving how this show is handling our spider girl advancing. Its never experienced as a simple moment where a level of ascension is achieved. Its always hard fought over and the progress ties into the mechanics of the battles fought and the experience gained. It was close for our spider MC today, but using her knowledge and new found experience has come out triumphant! Luckily I can separate real life from fantasy story telling, because if I couldn't id be texting WHO saying a wild spider variant is on the loose destroying the world and it needs banned! |

| They definitely did a better job with this fight than the ones last episode. That puppet spider is pretty interesting, I hope to learn more about that soon. They left us on another evolution cliffhanger too, smh. |
