I have watched all of the main seasons before this one (I might have missed some of the extra stuff by accident) so I know what has lead up to this season. But I binge watched the other seasons, so my question is. Does anyone actually remember why any of these plot points are happening or is everyone just watching in confusion like I am?

I watched the previous seasons some time ago, but now I'm waiting for all the episodes of the 4th season to watch them all together (and I will probably do a re-watch of the other seasons)

Not quite. I knew the entire thing but not to every nook and cranny of it because of the release dates, but yes, as I am not a novel reader I'm intrigued to see the end of it and there is a fact that I watched this long time ago and doesn't have the time to moan about how things go they still fascinated me this whole time

I binged this last year during the pandemic. Basically, the 3 vampire lord made a 4tg to house a bunch of power familiars then she was too powerful so they split her up into 12 clones the last and was Averrora Florestina (love the name). She got frozen until Kojou and his sister accidentally set her free and she fell in love with him. I don't remember why but she basically died gave the familiars she had to Kojou and the sister her soul and ice familiar and Kogou's mom apparently knows and cloned her a new body. Various organizations know he is now the new vampire lord and send various handlers. Yukina an apprentice with no real qualification to monitor him was actually sent knowing the pretty girl his age wouldn't be able to maintain a professional relationship. Basically, the sent her ignorant her to the real purpose of becoming a bride to keep him grounded. Asagi was the classic childhood crush that was trying to win him over before new girl came and she got more aggressive. His male friend is actually his true handler. Natsuki is his mentor/teacher who is also the cities swat and warden, and is stuck as a child becuase her real body is basically catatonic in the prison and that's how she looked when she got the job. Sayaka is Yukina's friend and warmed up to him, a little more like hot. La Folia is a foreign princess that came looking for her grandfather's illegitimate daughter Kanase. Every time he drinks their blood he can use that bond to get control of one of the familiars even place it in them. That blonde vamp douche is the classic lived centuries and too powerful so just bored shitless and relies on their misadventures for entertainment and wants him stronger to have an actual fight. Every one who hates the super natural tries to destroy the island and as always every pretty girl needs to be saved, bit, and clumsily seduced, order may varies. That last sentence basically describes 3/4 of the actual plot, I'll move to last season. Blonde douche got too much power that could erase super natural being again becuase he's bored becuase the man made supernatural island is a great conduit for the power of Cain, forgot most of the specifics on this, vampire lords feel threatened and sent an army to destroy him and island. Asagi had to help or they'd all just die then proceeds to harem war with Yukina, btw who's now an angel from using her divine weapon too much but Kojou bound her earth as a blood mate(assuming basically vampire marriage). Vampire court gives progenitors (lords) veto power to he told them they can screw off for not helping he vetos invasion and claims land as own on condition he reclaims it from douche vampire. 4th season .....whatever happens, I'm not the dipshit who thinks a year is an acceptable range for 12 episodes, that's a lazy Saturday, I'll wait myself.

This was mostly to jog my own memory, becuase I've watched a lot more shows then usual this last year (actually made a dent in my watch list instead adding lol)

I have an android app called Series Guide which keeps track of shows i've added to it. it uses TVBD and now TMDB's databases so the release times aren't always correct but it helps :)

I feel like the previous seasons followed some kinda plot but with this season, suddenly like without any cause he is suddenly in some kind of game world like SOA and we get all these new characters. Its really confusing if you an anime only watcher for sure.

I have watched the first season regularly weekly I think. The later ones when they fully were released - which took some time with them being OVA and slow release. Also did not remember anything from the previous stuff anymore.

(And I think I liked the firs season most. Also nice openings/endings there - Fight 4 Real for example.)

Now usually for the later OVA seasons the next season got released then for the previous one (since having to rely on "real" fansubs) not all stuff was subbed yet. Still starting to watch it arc-wise though.

Today I have watched the first 3 epis of season IV. In the next days 4-6, then 7-9 ... then waiting for 11 and 12 to watch 10-12.

So I at least have watched the arcs without a break during watching an arc.
