Mafia has been a part of stories of another time, when things were different, for a long time. Surprisingly, there are many mafia good deeds that have helped to enrich communities, protect people after natural disasters, and end restrictive laws. Some gestures were for show or for leverage in their court cases. The mafia was flushed out as an alternative lifestyle, made by people who just didn't fit into the normal aspects of society. Kinda like the anti heros in the old wild west stories, But they still looked out for their community in bad situations. ( even if those situations were in fact actually brought about by the actions of the mob.) |

| โฆ Preferred Name: aj or aejay, whatever looks better on the cards โฆ Cards: all please I think the concept of Mafia is definitely romanticized (which I'm 100% guilty of doing as a writer lol) but the actual concept when you look back at it starting with the Italian mob is really interesting to learn about. when you learn about the inner rankings of family and power dynamics it makes for a really interesting rabbit hole to fall into lol. especially when you remember that it's not something that died off, it's not just men wearing fedoras in the 30s talking thick Brooklyn accents. it's still thriving today granted not as much and more underground.
