Season 2 is the default name for split cour animes with only two parts on MAL. It's only when second and beyond seasons are split cour (like rezero and AoT) that they start doing "season X part Y"

Does it really matter though? As long as it's clear that this comes after the first part I don't see an issue.

Apparently. It makes way more sense considering that it was just 11 episodes and that we’re getting a continuation just a few months after

So in other words there won't be more seasons cz this is just first season?
What m trying to ask is there is not any source material left after this season?

I am not reading the manga, but it seems like manga is only on 55 chapters or more.

If this season cover upto 40 something, then we have to wait for some time for new source, thus imo 1/2 more years.
