| Just finished watching. It is very pretty with smooth animation. Still gathering my thoughts on the narrative/story. There are pleasant ups but also a few downs. | Yeah it was very nice and cute but some scenes like Mio trying to kiss Shun or the style of the characters and some other stuff was different from the manga But in general the backgrounds, voice acting, music etc. and a lot of little things was so beautiful and I love Kii Kanna’s artstyle so a 10/10 from me (๑>◡<๑) |

| just watched the sub !! i really enjoyed it and smiled a lot throughout my watch lol .. ive been waiting so long for this to release ;_; i wish they hadnt changed some things but movies are always like that so i cant complain too much. overall very enjoyable !! i hope u all enjoy it as well <3 ik a lot of people were anticipating this ! |

| For the most part I really liked it. I thought the movie did a great job of capturing the atmosphere (especially the contrast between the tropical Okinawa vs. the cold Hokkaido). Some of the cuts I thought were fine for a movie, but a few scenes I would've liked to see included, especially the scene with Mio talking to other people inside the gay bar. I think the whole visit to the mainland part was a little confusing due to the amount cut there, even as someone who read the manga beforehand. There are so few wholesome BLs that get adapted, I'm so glad this was one of them. Since the sequel manga series is one of my all-time faves, I really hope some kind of movie or short series comes out of it. |

| I really enjoyed this movie a lot because i think it portrayed a gay relationship in a very realistic way. I‘m a bisexual girl so I can‘t speak for the men but for me it was way more realistic than the other BL shows i‘ve seen so far. Even the sex scene. For example I liked the way how they openly talked about their experience in the hotel room and also the mood between them when they finally slept with each other and how they communicated. It felt kinda natural. What i also liked is how their relationship was slowly evolving and even tho there was drama it wasn‘t overly dramatic. The art was beautiful and i liked how they focused on little details in the animation. Everything looked so smooth. |

| i haven't read the manga so basing this purely on the movie the art and the atmosphere were great and I think it portrayed internalized homophobia well, but I couldn't get into the relationship, I wasn't well developed, there was no build up to it which is sad because the movie could have been great if it were developed properly |

| Movie only here, and not generally a huge BL fan even though I'll watch or read the occasional one. I was kind of disappointed, because I'd been sold a great love story and ended up with...cliché drama and so little actual content that it barely managed to fit in an already short screen time. I'm not saying it's trash or even just bad, but it definitely does not live up to what I felt were the general expectations for it. I don't think it does a very good job of portraying their relationship overall either. Tl;dr : just don't go in expecting a masterpiece, and you'll probably have a decent time if nothing more I guess. |
| extremely rushed. bland music choices. actually, bland direction (expected, considering the guy didn't direct much of anything) some nice bits here and there, especially when it comes to the setting, but honestly there's no reason to watch this if you can read the manga |
| I rated it a 9 purely for enjoyment, but it was probably more like a 7.5. The pacing was a bit off in my opinion, but it did seem to match the manga pretty well. Overall a great watch. For those who are looking for more, there's a sequel manga in process, although it hasn't been updated in a while as far as I know. |

| Just finished watching too The art kinda reminds me of Shinkai's art style it's quite smooth and comforting. Some things were done well but it kinda is sort of advertising to read the manga since it only has a shorter than normal running time. As my first BL anime I think it was done well (Does Banana Fish count as BL? lol) Kinda shows how big the fujoshi fanbase is compared to the Yuri fanbase in terms of the art budgeting and all that and good studio selection. I understand some things were cut out and felt a bit rushed since it had a short running time but I did enjoy it and the art was so pretty :) |

| Saw the movie first, read the manga after. Man they did Shun dirty... They did this whole manga dirty, they cut so many scenes it's not even a coherent story. I think the manga was very sweet and it's such a shame that it just wasn't adapted properly. They should've made a full length movie and actually told the story. 7/10, mostly because it's just really really pretty to look at. Man this feels shit after reading the manga. |
