This series is truly a masterpiece, what the hell. So much stuff is happening it's hard to keep up, but seeing Emilia's growth as a character almost brought tears to my eyes. Our furry friend Puck is back and ready to kick some clown ass! Roswaal v. Ram and Puck is going to be one hell of a show down! 2 siblings reunite! It tugged a little on my heartstrings seeing their little interaction with each other. Can't wait to see Garf kick some ass as well! And Subaru coming in like a superhero for Petra at just the most perfect moment! Like Ram said, his lucky timing is one of his best attributes! Let's see how Subaru is going to convince best girl Beatrice to get outta that castle and get some fresh air! Amazing episode! Can't wait for the nest one! |

I might be overthinking this but.. I have been confused about something this entire time and I hope someone can help me out. When do Elsa and Meili actually arrive at the mansion? Back in EP 5 of the 1st part Subaru is suspicious of Frederica so he goes back to the mansion after he returns the villagers and he gets killed by Elsa when it looks like the sun is setting. That's when the next episode we see Subaru going to the mansion with Ram in a different loop and Elsa attacks during the day taking Petra hostage. At the end Elsa also says "Two maids (frederica/petra) and one shut-in(beatrice).." Then in episode 11 they also attack during the day on the loop where Frederica and Petra seek refuge in the village and Beatrice is killed by Elsa. Now this episode Garfiel, Otto and Subaru head to the mansion and Elsa attacks at night for some reason (??). Petra was already running from Elsa before she even knew Subaru & co were coming. I hope I didn't miss anything important and obvious but I really would like an explanation. F |

Looks like the action will pick up next episode now that Garfiel is at the mansion to confront Elsa. Next week's episode is gonna be lit I can already tell. |
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime. Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait. MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol. |

Nonamesumaki said: I might be overthinking this but.. I have been confused about something this entire time and I hope someone can help me out. When do Elsa and Meili actually arrive at the mansion? Elsa outright stated "the attack was timed to your return" in EP6, she was attacking ahead of schedule in that episode because Subaru returned to the mansion, and Roswaal informed her. The attack we see now is the normal timing (plus Roswaal probably told her to get going right away after his conversation with Subaru last episode). |

Not sure if it's a spoiler since it was said in the Web Novel on the chapter where they returned to the mansion in loop 2 and asked Frederica. The Web Novel does elaborate on lots of stuff that being cut in anime, and I dont read the LN to know if that also cut from the LN. |

SoraSenpai said: This was arguably the best episode of the season. Sometimes Dialogue episodes are the best due to the mast amount of info we can get and boy did we get a shit load of info. First Ram begging for Emilias help to save Roswall. I was hyped at first but when Roswall acknowledged Ram's acting. My hatred for Ram grew to an insane amount...HOWEVER the acting was to actually push Emilia because Ram wanted to take care of Roswall personally. Also Emilia realizing that Subaru and Roswall are not alike. *clap clap* Bravo Emilia mad points to her for that one. Then Ram's face-off with Roswall. We find out that it was Roswall who destroyed Rem and Ram's village and that's why she pledged an Oath to him. I knew during that whole conversation Ram had 0 chance of taking Down Roswall so when she said she needed help...I lost my fucking mind when Puck came out of that crystal...LOST MY DAMN MIND!!! I actually thought he was gone since breaking away from Emilia. Then the Reuinion...THE REUNION!!! Jesus it was soooo good! I can't wait to see both fights respectively. Garf vs Elsa and Ram and Puck vs Roswall. PLUS we also need to watch out for Meili...we know she's sneaking around somewhere. I can see her and Beatrice going head to head. but DAMN what an episode 10/10 So a couple of questions buddy. 1. What's Roswaal true intentions got 2 do with his love with Echdina? My understanding was that he is trying to sharpen subarus resolve to make him focus on support Emilia in her claim for the throne thus allowing him to achieve his wish by killing the dragon. But whats his love to Echdina got do with it at all, I don't get the connection here. 2. Why is Ram fighting Roswaal? To stop from summong the rabbits? Also what did she mean by his delusionals? Is it because he is following the book of wisdom to the teeth and letting him dictate what he wants exactly? Thanks |

Personally I think that Roswaal tries to end the santuary to release Ryuzu or Edchina soul, or just follows whatever crazy last words Echidna told him. High chance that last word is "follow the book of wisdom until the end", lmao. Just like how Beatrice followed Echidna's words. 2. To punch some sense to Roswaal as he is living in the past because of his obsession towards Echidna. |

So, if I understand correctly, it was Roswaal who asked Ram for help, technically, not the other way around. But why did he need her help? Just because she was in his Book of Wisdom? Also, where does Ram's loyalty for Roswall stems from? I mean, if Ram knew all along that Roswaal was partly responsible for destroying her village, why would she be so attached to him? I'm missing something. |

I'm missing something. So in this episode Roswaal mentions how they had fought before and presumably he completely dominated her. I'm guessing this was after the first time he told her he was part of the attack on her village. He then made a promise that she could have his life when he is ready to give it up, so she can avenge her village since she can't normally beat him by herself, as long as she helps him. Seems like a sweet deal for a young Ram to make. I'm also assuming Rem was there at the time too but obviously wouldn't be there in the flashback. |

There’s just so much dialog to pay attention to and keep track of for characters that I still don’t care that much for. I get pretty much every character’s motivations, but the way Re:Zero reveals those motivations in dialog is way too long. It’s realistic and probably works better in a light novel, but it’s just too much in an anime where there is more to focus on in a restricted time. Because of that, I feel like some smaller details get overlooked because of this information overload. That being said, I’m glad that they are finally in the action part, with Ram & Puck vs Rosewal and Subaru & Co vs Mansion Attackers. |

MY BOI PACK IS BACK!? Yo this episode was heat. Felt way longer than it was, and at the same time felt short lol. Emilia is easily starting to become one of my favorite 3 season, but we are here. Character development is important. Her resolve is so much stronger than what it was. Overcoming her past is helping her mature and I just love it. Besides her talk with Ram and Roswaal she went right back into the graveyard. I know Echidna is going to be iterated lol. Wonder what the last two trails consist of. Happy we are not starting to get into Ram past along with Roswaal. I love the vow they made to each other. I thought we knew all that happen in the Oni village attack, but there seems to be a lot of details still missing. I wonder what Rem feelings are towards Roswaal. I know they can't match her love for Subaru. Still Roswaal is a wild card to say the least. Was never expecting to see Pack though. It was a very pleasant surprise. Now that's how you do a deus ex machina lol. I got my wish of Subaru being right there when Petra called for him. It was such the perfect time and I loved it. I really wanted, even though the situation definitely doesn't call for it and Frederica doesn't seem like the type. Still I wish her and Garfiel reunion was a little more tear-jerking. I mean he finally came out the sanctuary. That's just my feelings though lol. Elsa still crazy lol. I wonder if she was referring to Reinhard when she talks about almost being killed. Now we about to get Beatrice arc? I can't wait! Also I forgot, but can Subaru always finds her or does she let him and pretends she didn't. Petra couldn't find her, but I thought Beatrice controlled that with her (Yin) Yang magic. Either way I'm hyped! 5/5. |

JanPri said: It's complicated. Part of it is because of an oath that she and Roswaal made, in which she agreed to follow him and in the exchange she gained the right to have his soul once he no longer has a desire to live. But after all this time (she and Rem were in Roswaal's mansion for 9 years) she learnt that he is just a miserable man living in the past, not willing to let the past go. So her objective now is the destruction of the Tome of Wisdom.- Why does Ram want to fight Roswaal? It seems it's going to be a fight to the death... Didn't she want to save him by making Emilia the ruler? JanPri said: Something that anime skipped (LN spoiler ahead). Dragon Volcanica was the one who sealed Echidna inside the tomb. Killing the dragon is probably one of the requirements to get Echidna back. And the only way for Roswaal to do that is when Emilia is elected the next Ruler of Lugnica.- How does the fact Emilia becomes the ruler save Roswaal? How is that connected to Echidna? Isn't his only wish to see her again? What does Emilia have to do with it? JanPri said: I think I've already answered part of that earlier. She wants Roswaal to let the past be in the past and move on with his life. So he could fall in love with her (yes, she loves him; it might feel strange but it might be a Stockholm syndrome or something similar).- Why does Ram feel the need to help Roswaal? He sees her just as a tool, doesn't he? He even mercilessly murdered her in the previous world-line... And apparently he is even responsible for the attack on her village. JanPri said: Yes, she was. She did something against Roswaal wishes (helped the other group).- Why was Ram quivering when Roswaal appeared in front of Emilia? Was she scared of him? JanPri said: I think it was already mention in the LN but the anime skipped it (LN spoiler ahead). Roswaal's (and Beatrice's) Tome of Wisdom is a copy of the true Tome of Wisdom (Echidna has it) made by Echidna herself. It is unknown who made Gospels (they work in a similar way but are just imitations).- What exactly is Roswaal's Tome of Wisdom? Does the fact he owns it make him one of the people who destroyed the Oni village? Why was it necessary for him to have it when Ram confronted him? Roswaal either did nothing to stop the attack or did everything in his power to stop anyone else for interfering, so the attack would happen as it was written in his copy of the Tome of Wisdom. It was necessary for Roswaal to have it so Ram could try to destroy it. JanPri said: Roswaal thinks he's already failed as events are not happening as it is written in his Tome. He's willing to give Ram his soul since he's certain Subaru will loop again.- What is Roswaal's plan? What does he want to do? And how come he becomes an empty husk when he makes the snow fall? JanPri said: It's about the oath I've mentioned before.- What was the conversation between Ram and Roswaal supposed to mean? "Whatever one relies upon should be the thing that brings about their death." JanPri said: He just broke his contract with Emilia and moved to another crystal. He was the one who helped Subaru to get Garfiel out of his beast form (by draining Garfiel's mana). And earlier in this episode Ram received this crystal from Subaru.- Why did Puck appear again? Didn't he leave Emilia for some unknown reason? I thought he's far away now... Why did he even leave when he keeps popping up? |

The three idiots lol Ram's description. Still Ram's heartfelt plea to Emilia to help Roswaal shows just how much she's in love with him. Emilia's response to Roswaal's provocation though really shows just how much she's grown as a result of Subaru and co's influence. But what's just as strong was Ram's determination to save Roswaal from the curse via her own hands as well. The OST for that scene really was perfect. Its nice to see Puck stop by and lend a hand as well. Its been a long time coming but Subaru is finally here to relieve the siege of the mansion with much needed reinforcements. Garfiel's reunion with his sister was hillarious. Overall an excellent ep that combined excellent tension with character development, plot progression and a reunion of veterans as the series kicks into high gear for the final stages. |

This episode was incredibly good. It was a build-up, but at the same time, the dialogue between the characters was tense and also pretty epic at the same time. =) Emilia's growth was put to the test when Roswaal came to her and Ram and she did a great job in standing firm to her beliefs while also keeping herself calm and resolute despite Roswaal's best efforts to unnerve her during their talk. Later on, Ram confronted Roswaal and during their talk, Roswaal confirmed that he played a main part in the destruction of the village Ram and Rem grew up in. Not only Ram will try and put a stop to his delusional plans, but thanks to Subaru from earlier, she now has the assistance of Puck. This battle will certainly be thrilling. At the same time, Petra (her pyjamas look really cute, though. =3) got confronted by Elsa within the mansion, but Frederica saved her and gave her an opening to escape. After doing so and begging for Subaru to appear, her hero arrives like a typical hero does, but his main goal is to talk to Beatrice while Garfiel, who had a funny reunion with Frederica, will battle against Elsa. Maybe now my main hope of Elsa finally being killed off will happen once and for all, but she's still going to be a formidable foe whichever way you look at it. No sign of her companion of hers from before, so I wouldn't be surprised if she appears in the next episode. Either way, the next episode is promising to be really brutal and intense. Bring it on! =D |

It's pretty sad how much Ram cares about Roswaal yet we know that he'd kill her without hesitation. It was nice to see her show her vulnerable side to Emilia cause we rarely see it and the two girls have never interacted in such an openly emotional way before. The reunion between Freddie and Garf was great! His reaction to how much she's changed was so funny but you could also feel how much they've missed each other. I can't wait for next weeks ep cause I have a feeling Garf is gonna surprise us with his fight against Elsa |

OMG! This one was really really really really fucking GOOD! I can't believe it! They're actually playing it!!! Soft sided Ramu: Surprised Roswaal I don't quite believe that Ram fighting for her clown Roswaal finally talking about his contract with Ram Roswaaal YOU BASTARD! Puck W H A T T H E F U C K ? You're not supposed to be here! Ok, that's a lightnovell change. I'm not so glad about it. Petra RUN! Ah, Elsa is stronger now Petra... I'm crying YES!!!!!! Her hero came to save her! Damn, Frederica is getting clapped! Lasagna boy coming in clutch! Yeah, this is big brain time! LMAFAOOOO Save Beako! ACTUAL SPOILER WEEEOOOOOOO! , So, judging by the pacing, we should see the Roswaal vs Ram fight next week plus the Garfiel vs Elsa one, both in full form. We should also be able to see the first part of Beako x Subaru. I'm sooo fucking excited! I can't wait! 10/10 Amazing! |

I don't think that Ram without her horn would be more powerful than Roswaal, so why did he make a pact with her instead of just using her for his goals (and I actually thought that was their relationship)? Ram is clearly in disadvantage against him. Is it because Roswaal is actually a man of honor? I don't think so, as he had no hesitation in killing her in a previous loop. |

Garfields plot armor was perfectly timed - " i can leave the sanctuary anytime" Subaru - "How could I not know this after 1m re-do's?!?!?" I keep seeing the word "development" thrown around. Does anyone know if they will ever touch on Subaru's entire purpose of being there? *fan Boys" please dont come to my page crying again |

Solid episode. I love the balance between character interactions and the plot moving forward. Guessing next episode will have lots of action with an interesting dialogue between Beatrice and Subaru intercut. Wondering what Beatrice's reaction to all this will be? |

A lot of the questions I had have already been sort of answered above, but to sum it up, correct me if I’m wrong, the gist of it is: Roswal wants things to happen according to his tome of wisdom, whatever is written in there. What IS written in there goes against Subaru’s ideals, who wants to save everyone, so it harkens back to the bet that they made before about who will emerge victorious, roswall’s tome of wisdom (he got from echinda, right? Which is why ram wants to free him from these “delusions”?) or just Subaru’s will to save everybody. So basically it’s just about changing your fate, or defying your destiny. Or maybe I’m just slow and can’t pick up on any of this subtext LOL. Really though whenever roswall starts talking I just get confuzzled like what huh wtf do you want bro |

Yea, I expect that to be the case for the rest of the season, at least. But its only like that because we have the OP again. The content is 28ish minutes, so thats consistent with the rest of the season. Now I wont even mind them adding the ED, if they start spewing 30 minutes episodes and dont cut content, haha :) We sure got spoiled by WF this season, no question about it. Seeing as this show has 25% more content than a regular show (28 vs 21 minutes on average), I wish I could give it 6/5 score at least :D |

She want's to stop the simpery, basically. 2- Roswaal wants to bring Echidna back to life. I'm not really sure how it's connected. 3- Ram cares about Roswaal because... well, I hope they explain it next episode. I already know the answer but I don't want to ruin it for you. Also, Roswaal made a contract with Ram. She would have to follow him and obey him as long as the path doesn't deviate from what's written in the Tome of Wisdom. If the path deviated, she would no longer have to obey/follow him.. That's why she was confronting him. Also, he killed her to distract Garfiel so he could kill him. 4- I guess so, This one I truly don't know. 5-Okay, so basically, we know that there are only two copies of the Tome of Wisdom: Beako's one and Roswaal's one. The "copies" that they both have are copies of the Original Tome of Wisdom created by Echidna, which is the one that helps to reconstruct the Trials. That's how we know what happened with Geuse even if it wasn't in Emilia's memories. The book basically tells the user the future, is different from the Archbishop's Gospels because they were not created by Echidna, rather, someone copied the "algorithm" of the original Tome of wisdom and created the Gospels. Therefore they're defective. Roswaal just follows it's instructions. His goal is to bring his teacher back to life. Yes, Roswaal was involved but wasn't the one to cause it. 6-Making the snow fall just takes a really big toll on him. That's why he killed Garfiel back in the loop where he revealed he knew about Subaru's time loop ability. He wouldn't have been able to beat garfiel in that state. He was referring to the path diverging from the Tome of Wisdom when he talked about becoming an empty husk because his life would lose meaning. 7-Not sure. Maybe he was referring to their contract? 8-He broke the contract with Emilia because he was the one blocking her memories due to their contract. If you watched the Frozen Bonds OVA, you can see that Puck wasn't supposed to have a contract with Emilia. Puck appearing again to help Ram is just a Light Novel change, In the Webnovel puck doesn't show up. Puck's inside the blue crystal but can't come out because the crystal is not strong enough to handle him. This should really be the last time we see him/her tho. Hope that answers some of your questions. |
