DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Amazing how the social values and norms in Japan were different in the 80s. In the 90s things had already changed and this can be seen in the animes late of that decades. From a contemporary viewpoint the norms back then seem at times sexist, abonimable, illogical, illegal (e.g. the child slapping) and at other times childish and prudish! In today's hook-up society this looks incredibly out of date... |
