If you're watching Noblesse for the first time, then you might not understand what is actually going on (That's why the rating is so low). So, here's the correct sequence which will help you to understand this anime.

Noblesse The Beginning of Destruction OVA > Noblesse Awakening OVA > Noblesse Series.

I hope that this thread is helpful, thank you for reading.

Noblesse: The Beginning of Destruction is a major spoiler for non-webtoon readers. Surely, it will help others to know what exactly happened, but it's preferable to not watch it.

Yea I don't think Noblesse The Beginning of Destruction is a must for the series. Since the plot of this OVA shows up much later in the webtoon

So does Noblesse: Awakening actually cover the start of the manhwa?

Oooooh thanks for this thread. I found the first episode extremely confusing and weird, didn't like it at all. Maybe that's why. I'll check out the prequel then!

I actually started watching it blind and I'm enjoying not knowing specifics. Having things unfold before you is part of the experience.

I was surprised by it's low score, but I didn't realize that so many people didn't realized that the ova is a must watch. LOL, people should do their homework.

Thanks for this! I normally just let a new anime just roll out on its own and skipping any review, and picks up those thats interest me, but this one has got me feeling that there is a sequel to it during first ep, but I had to pause midway ep 2 so I had to look for more info.

Done watching the OVA and now, getting ready to get back on track.

Also is it me or just Seira did gave a fanservice while she was under the scaffolds lol

Same here. Nothing was confusing to me, just thought that I'll find out about their past as time goes on. Then I scroll to comments after finishing and see people saying to watch the OVAs lmao. This is the reason I never watched nekopara. I was about to watch it until I saw someone said watch ova and I just couldn't be bothered xD

EDIT - Just watched awakening. That was hella good though feels like it should be an hour longer. Not gonna watch the first ova.

Thank you so much, even though I looked everywhere for a proper order I’ll just follow this because it’s to the point.

I ended up watching Awakening to try to comprehend what Noblesse is, and i'm just as confused as to what the hell this is.
The prequel didn't do anything, mostly because it was the same as the first episode: Weird/creepy opening, SoL for the first half, fights for the second half.

Awakening adapts the first 90 chapters of the Manwha. The Tower of God anime also adapted the first 90 chapters of it's Manwha but with 13 episodes. Awakening is just extremly rushed and a lot of the important story parts are not mentioned.

it is probably best to read the first 90 chapters before starting with the anime.
Dunno what Production I.G. was thinking with Noblesse.

I did the same. I watched Awakening and found it was really good. To each their own... I know some don't like this series. I like it.

... If I'd done "my homework", I'd have watched The Beginning of Destruction OVA too, first (which this thread is making blatantly-obvious to be a huge misstep).

How is anyone supposed to know that this adaptation wasn't the first when nothing in its marketing, title, or even the opening scenes (like: no flash-backs to footage clearly from another video, etc), suggests otherwise? Come'on.

Let's be fair: no one would expect it to be a sequel of any sorts - esp. with its short, "transparent" title that matches the name of the Manhwa, of just 'Noblesse'.

... Sure is a lot of "homework" (or more like 'luck') for what sounds-like very little pay-off. I'd be mad if this was a Manhwa I'd actually read, let alone was looking forward to. Really is a shame.

Well, in MAL or in almost any sreaming sites you have the "related" stuff in there, and some even makes clear what type of relationship they have. Also, in the first episode, they clearly mentioned a lot of stuff that just happened, not that hard to pick up that you may missed something... it was the same with the new version of Baki... sometimes I feel like I'm too OP.

You know, I'm not exactly sure why I didn't pick up all that stuff at the start - in hindsight, that is. I think that, at the time, I thought it could be 'flash-forwards' instead, and things happened so fast in those "previews" that I honestly was too caught-up trying to gather as much info as I could to make sense from it at all.

Sadly, I think the biggest issue the first ep had (all criticisms aside, that is) is that, frankly, I just couldn't tell what kind of show I was watching. Whether this is a coincidence for 'that point in the Webtoon', or whether this was due to a "rushed-job", or whether it just didn't click with me on a subjective/personal level, I can't really say for certain since I obviously didn't give it enough time or thought to even figure out that those first sequences were 'flash-backs' and not something else~

I dunno, even if I'm no genius (or even particularly clever...), I'm not a "lost cause" either, so I honestly wonder how many other people were lulled into a similar trap simply due to so many "small/minor" cognitive-misunderstandings born from coincidences?... There's so many different ways I could have corrected my own misunderstandings ('cos, of those, there were many~), either through intuition or conscious-thought, but the "product" of all these coincidences brought about far too much confusion from far too many different angles...

I'm sure anyone else that had the same initial thoughts as me, that THE Noblesse -- one of the Webtoon/Manhua behemoths that, at the very least, many of us had heard stirrings of, & also having read the (seemingly) straight-laced title that sounds like an original/'unique' entry -- that THE Noblesse, would be an intuitive experience, holding our hands all the way through a thrilling universe & narrative.
I know it sounds like I'm explicitly blaming "someone else" for this end-result, but what I'm really trying to get at here is: Noblesse was really unfortunate. In many more ways than one, too.

Sigh, this whole thing is just so awkwardly painful in a myriad of uncomfortable ways... >_> Oh well, I'll probably read it some time, anywayz.
