 The official twitter of Netflix Japan revealed the main staff and a teaser visual (pictured) for the new anime adaptation of Hiroshi Takashige and Ryouji Minagawa's Spriggan manga on Tuesday. The anime is scheduled to stream worldwide on Netflix in 2021.Hiroshi Kobayashi (Kiznaiver, Hisone to Maso-tan) is helming the anime at David Production. Hiroshi Seko (Vinland Saga, Jujutsu Kaisen) is in charge of the series composition and script. Shuuhei Handa (Little Witch Academia (TV)) is the character designer. Takashige and Minagawa serialized the action adventure manga in Shounen Sunday Super magazine from February 1989 to January 1996. Studio 4°C produced an anime film in September 1998. VIZ Media published the first three volumes of the manga in English between November 1998 and May 1999. ADV Films released the anime film on DVD in April 2002. Game developer FromSoftware published a video game based on the manga titled Spriggan: Lunar Verse in June 1999 on the Playstation console in Japan and Asia. Source: IT Media |

| Yep, the amazing animation by Studio 4°C was one thing that movie had going for it. The story wasn't really engaging and appeared to be on par with 80's action hero movies. |
