| Sakura gets stabbed by some anonymous criminal, whose identity is never revealed. Time skips and we see the mc visiting Sakuras grave with her friend, we see him as a new person (which is also signified through the cutting of his hair). This new mc has learned to live life to the fullest and we see him talking with sakura’s friend with small hints towards them having a relationship in the future. |

Haruki (MC) and Kyouko (best friend of female MC) are never dating. The ending has translation error that makes you think, they're dating. In my language (german dub and sub) it's clearly stated that Kyouko is dating the bubblegum guy (Issei) or will date him if he goes on the same college like her. Haruki and Kyouko became just friends, but nothing more. |

I don't think it explicitly mentions who it was I don't think its a good choice for the development of Haruki characterization. He might ended up by never befriended with anyone else, except Sakura. The disease itself proves to be long enough to survived at the current state of Sakura, maybe until the end of the school day. As long as Sakura still wanted to kept a secret to everyone forever, she couldn't revealed the issues. Even to her best girl friend, she never released her sickness. However, since she finally death with the unexpected incident, she could released her book, the secret, her last wish to Haruki, and, the event happening to changed Haruki by the time its gone. So, to prevent the failure of Haruki development of his live, she needed to be died asap, like that, unfortunately. I think its still a good direction of this movie. The twist really great to served the right impact in the right place. I mean, the movie need to reach the end, right? So, its still the best choice for that, imho. |

| I am of the opinion it was Haruki. He's the killer type, let's face it. superp2222 said: Haruki's a pansy, he couldn't even help Sakura in the marketplace fight. I think he was walking away like a cowardIt was the serial stabber that was hinted at in local news sources. I had figured it was foreshadowing but I didnt know the bastard would get Sakura. I thought Haruki was gonna stand up to him and in doing so finally break through his shell. |

| I do wish we had gotten to know who the killer was (I would probably have bumped this up to a 9/10 instead of 8/10), but I still really enjoyed this movie overall even if the ending was a bit random in my opinion. |
