| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This is like the male version of BanG Dream but with more mature content, or rather takes on a more serious storytelling route. It follows a college student and unites his ambition together with other prominent cast members. Might have some potential? Idk, too early to tell now. I guess the singing isn't bad so far. |

| I'm not expecting alot from this but ill give this a chance, looking at the Cast theyre the same as BanG Dream but male (they literally have the title) Nothing much to say about episode 1 so we'll see how this pans out in later episodes. |

I can't really compare them to the crybaby Aya Maruyama or the silly Kokoro (whose goal is to make the world smile through her band's performances). I've seen a few tweets where people compare female idols vs male idols, and it's usually like female idols want to make the world smile with their music, while male idols have missing/dead parents, separated brothers, depression, etc. Granted, this is a band series and not idol, but I think it's still pretty applicable here. --- The whole time I was watching this I was like "why does it feel like they're bullying Ren into joining the band"... |
