Lol, they threw in a beach setting with swimsuits for the series finale. Funny since usually, cats aren't exactly the best type of animals to be near the waters.

But anyways, it was a fun show overall nothing overwhelming, but definitely one that I think was entertaining this season. That ED card is also kinda lewd lol

Well it was a nice beach episode.
And it was nice of the girls to help out that store.
They even helped them with a cat girl to attract customers.
The anime was nice luckily it wasn't a harem like some suggested, have had enough of watching impotent main characters that are denser than the walls of a castle.

I still feel like if that's all they wanted to make, you could've just made some brand new anime original show starring catgirls for the purpose of moe. But if you're specifically adapting Nekopara then doing it this way is kinda just missing the point of what the franchise is and always has been. It just comes across as a different type of series altogether from what it's actually supposed to adapt this way

To end this series on a good note, a beach episode for fanservice, something fans of Nekopara wanted on a soft note that's close to the H-game.

Another health check for the nekogirls, and the usual heated arguments between Azuki and Coconut in terms of physical maturity. As expected of Shigure, her eyeship test exposes her sadistic nature of the nekogirls.

Finding swimsuits for the nekogirls, and Cacao's first outing with the cast. And please don't get me started on Cinnamon's usual sexist antics. More importantly is Cacao finding the perfect swimwear and her support float in the expense of Chocola's kindheartedness.

The typical beach antics has Cacao veering wholesome, but encountering trouble isn't what they wanted, and luckily she's safe. In part of the rescue mission done by an outsider nekogirl, as thanks they helped in promotions, the same way as La Soleil was founded on.

Nekopara the anime with lewd ED illustrations. Hopefully I'll remember this fun-fest.

A beach episode for the final episode interesting.

It was nice of Shigure and the rest to help out the shop of the girl that saved Cacao. Nekos are good for business XD.

Well, this series was fun to watch. It had some good end cards.

i thought Shigure was gonna tell 2 of the cats to go work there, but adopting some new cats is even better

i always love animal girls, and this one is a lot of fun, it also has lots of fan-service and girls love, so that's even better :D

i'll give this an 8, give me more please <3

Cacao knows who's got the real melons XD. We finally got a beach episode and it was cute.

Overall this was a decent slice of life version of Nekopara. Thou adding Cacao in the anime was a really nice thing to do, I really liked her.

Nekopara wasn't worth it. I'm happy that Wakanim has the 1,5 Speed Button. Maybe it just wasn't my type of humor. Others may be happy with it. But for me it is a 2/10.

I feel like I've seen part of this episode before but sure, let's have the health checks again... Of course Cinnamon's boobs have grown even bigger xD.

Proper beach "episode" with swimsuits and everything this time... although it was really short and mostly done in still shots. Cacao trying to hit Cinammon's melons was funny. But I must say that the end card depicted Cinnamon's melons better.

Honestly, this was disappointing. Not because it was bad (which it wasn't), but because I expected something more trashy. I know there was already a precedent with the OVA but I still had hope. And it was kinda weird how Kashou was still present but put aside with almost no interaction with the girls, not even the ones that live in his house xD. On the other hand, it was still cute and I certainly had fun.

Cinnamon is definitely my best girl. I love that big titty perv cat <3.

To finish. That end card... MY GOD, I FUCKING LOVE IT! I love how lewd they were but at the same time hate how they gave us a glimpse of what the show could have been.

For someone who never played the original VN before, I rather enjoyed the Nekopara anime. Cacao was definitely a great addition to the cast of lovely cat girls.

The last episode treated us to some lovely fanservice by having the girls go to the beach in the middle of the best season of the year, Summer. The swimwear that all of them had were fantastic, with Maple's black and orange two-piece bikini being my favourite of the bunch.

Overall, this show was a guilty treat for my Winter anime season. It had very little plot at times, but most of the cast had some decent development in terms of character building. The slice of life aspects and the comedy were the stronger selling points, though. =)

As for the score, I think I'll settle for a 7/10. Probably an overly generous score, since I do have a soft spot for cats. =3

Of course it ended wrapping up with a last minute beach episode lol. A surprise to be sure, but a most welcome one.

For what this adaptation was, it was pretty enjoyable. Nothing really revolutionary when it comes to slice of life and nothing astounding within the winter season, but it was super cute all the same.

I hear Cacao was an anime original, and I was really impressed/surprised at how integral she felt with the characters and overall concept of the anime. A lot of Chocola's character revolved around her, so it's strange to think this was her first appearance. Definitely liked her more than I thought I would.

I agree. As Cacao doesn't exist in the VN, Chocola's character originally revolved all-around Kashou (to the point that it was pretty much what she was known for). But as we all know, Kashou is basically non-existent in the TV Anime, so they created Cacao as a way to develop Chocola's character.

In hindsight, Cacao was an excellent addition as their interactions show us a side of Chocola that we've never really seen before, giving us the much-needed character development & depth to her character.

Before the TV Anime, she was probably the flattest (catgirl) character, and consequently was my least favorite catgirl. However, TV Chocola managed to establish herself as a lovable, adorably airheaded, and most importantly, caring Neko that captured my heart.

TV Chocola > VN Chocola in virtually every single way. Big Sis Chocola is something I would love to see more.

Before the TV Anime, she was probably the least developed Minaduki catgirl, roughly tieing with Vanilla (Vanilla IMO was slightly more developed, but not by much), and consequently was my least favorite catgirl. However, TV Chocola managed to establish herself as a lovable, adorably airheaded, and most importantly, caring Neko that captured my heart.

Overall a pretty nice series! Perhaps due to the fact that I knew what the visual novels are like (not played them yet), I was expecting more lewdness!

It was adorable and wholesome! Since it shattered my expectations a bit, I will give it a 6/10

And in the end, Cacao didn't wear neither of the swimsuits both Chocola and Vanilla chose for her :/

Though repetitive in some scenes, it was a somewhat decent final episode. Cacao's level of cuteness was higher than usual and I couldn't be more glad about it since basically, her character alone carried this overall uninteresting series.

The traditional beach episode is here, and started in undies where the classic angry cat pose on panties, which is sexy AF. I really wished this series was more ecchi but I guess they tone it way down. If you wanted to see sexy waifus in tight bikinis, go to see Animal school instead.

But it was a fun episode nevertheless as they were turned from a pastry store to a beach store.

And she wasn't generic before? Then please, enlighten me on how "goshujin-sama every 10 seconds" Chocola with the stereotypical Genki Girl persona is a revolutionary character.

Look, I'm not saying I hate Chocola, but her original personality really wasn't something to write home about. I would even say that those player-pandering characters (that unfortunately VN Chocola fell victim to) are a major turn-off for many people. And I know this is not just me; I've seen a lot of people on a 100k+ subreddit that share the same opinion, and they are consistently the highest voted comments.

Oh, and should I also mention how
Yeah, 10/10 character development guys.

You know, as much as the anime has done good, I've got to agree with you here. The final episode simply lacked impact. I get the message they are trying to convey at the end, but I feel they could have done it in a better way (like not introducing brand new, forgettable characters in the last episode, for instance).

Ja! even you realized that. Everybody loves beach espisodes, but they could never be the most appropriate choice of a season finale. Sayori, Felix Film, you two disappointed me to the end, terribly. Just hoping there is never a season 2 and that Vol. 4 comes out soon to rectify the mess this anime left behind.

Everything is generic in Nekopara, and I don't care. For some weird reason my brain reacts to this neko harem with a smile. Can't rate it higher than slightly below average to remain fair to "real" anime - I haven't points for cuteness to give. But enjoyment certainly is a 10.

Oh, and not everything is generic. I really can't get enough of the 1001 details and variations of the clothing the nekos wear. Detailed like a Mandelbrot fractal, whenever you thought this is the end, you find one more detail. Just saying - this is certainly not generic at all, this is great.

I totally understand why they wouldn't directly adapt the games, they are trying to broaden the audience a little bit, but I wouldn't have minded a little bit more ecchi. Ah well, the Switch ports aren't much more lewd apart from the confession scenes and a couple of censored CGs so I'm not THAT bothered.

This was an enjoyable series, and I love the characrer design in the anime in particular. They look much cuter in this series. I hope we get a season two, this was great!

Also, if there's anyone else who is a fan, I hope you don't mind if I give myself a cheeky little plug here. So it's over. A very disappointing adaptation. Why?

Because the OP and ED were great, the character designs are mostly faithful, and the animation was great. However...

1) They skipped 90% of the introduction, a.k.a. why catgirls exist, how they are adopted etc. This also includes how Chocola and Vanilla were adopted. If you read the vn then you knew that was a very heartbreaking scene, but the anime only viewers will never know about this.

2) The main fucking character is barely relevant. Somehow Felix Firm managed to change nekopara from a harem to a yuri show!

3) Pacing was dreadful. Random anime original Keijo episode that should have been used to develop the cat girls. Cacao is not even in the vn - she is an anime only catgirl. She starts with no personality and ends with no personality, and she is a chore to watch due to this. Most of the cat girls are reduced to mere stereotypes - a problem due to mostly the points above.

I won't complain about the 'spicy' stuff not put into this adaptation. But regardless I am still very disappointed with the adaptation. I guess it is a mediocre slice of life show? I don't even know as this show has no sense of direction or plot! And it makes me so frustrated! Regardless there are some enjoyable scenes and I love the vn, and that is why I did not drop this show.
