I guess this teaches us the value of vegetables which kids hate. How much effort is put into taking care of them, I'm glad the kid is not picky about tomatoes anymore.

Huh, that was strange, yet oddly amusing. Kids generally, can be quite picky regarding food.

Absolutely horrifying. A child goes through the traumatic experience of turning into a tomato, comes to the realisation that fruit and vegetables are sapient creatures just like him, and nearly dies several times over. Yet, when he gets back and becomes human again, he can eat happily fruit without any moral qualms? That's not just a sliced tomato, that's the butchered corpse of one of his friends, yet he eats it anyway. That kid's definitely growing up to become a cannibal.
