I am not happy at all that Milord is dead and did not like the fact that even Sasuke was seen picking through the rubble in hopes of finding some of the treasures he has long lusted after. I thought the ending was strange.
Will be interesting to see how it fares for him now that Milord id dead... >x<
I am going to miss him as well but he sure went out with style...LONG LIVE MILORD! <3

Really loved the aery mood in the first scene, it was like watching Throne of Blood, wasn't expecting that.

The rest of the episode was very solid too, with Nagamasu making a run for it when asked to commit seppuku, and with Sasuke showing up on the ruins and meeting Yasuke.

The death scene was ridiculous, didn't feel like it belonged in this show.

Ok, y'all know it's physically impossible to move after you've been cut like that, right?

There's no way he could have done that in the real world. In order for any part of your body to move, the brain must be connected to it. There is no way in hot hell Nobunaga would be moving if today he actually got sliced in two. So I don't know WHAT kind of witch craft he was working with, but that shit was not normal.

That said, what a friggin awesome death. I expected him to live forever. I thought in this moment he really had become a god.

Woahh. The death scene has to be the best one I have seen and it's definitely the most epic one.

The bizarre death scene was striking and dreamlike. The howling that can be heard throughout especially made it seem unreal, and the subdued sound of Nobunaga's top half flopping to the floor, like a cloth, was a weirdly understated way to end it. It may have been so strange to acknowlege, in a way, the fanciful aspect of this historical fiction. In reality, it's possible Hideyoshi had a role in plotting Nobunaga's death but the truth will never be known. This story having Hideyoshi influence Mitsuhide towards betrayal is plausible, but him actually being present at Honnoji and killing Nobunaga with his own hands is overtly fanciful (why get Mitsuhide to attack but then involve himself so directly like this?). It's a sacrifice of historical plausibility for dramatic value; Hideyoshi quite literally killed Nobunaga. I like it.

History records that Nobunaga killed himseldf via seppuku to avoid capture or death at the hands of his enemy. Here, Hideyoshi bisecting Nobunaga through the belly perhaps alludes to the latter's suicide by this method. Hideyoshi drinking the blood that Nobunaga sheds from his slashed belly is a symbolic act of guilt.

The parody of seppuku with Nagamasu was very funny; perhaps this series is cheekily refusing to depict the famous way so many samurai took their own lives.
