Begining of movie mentioned the fall of the empire. So even having a murderous magical loli is not enough to save it...

No country is capable of constantly waging wars so this was to be expected.

PS Love the tiger ausf. h in the signature

Well given how the Russians did the classic WWI tactic of just sending everyone to rush B, eventually the empire wouldn't be able to handle it all

kinda like the Vietnam war against the French lol.

"Fell" doesn't necessarily mean "Destroyed". I'm taking a wild guess and assuming that the very end of the movie explains the beginning of the fall. Her unit worked well because it was a small, mobile force. Giving her all of these extra resources will just slow her down. I have no doubt we will be seeing Mary again as well.

The Empire may or may not eventually end up in ruin, but I have no doubt that Tanya's story goes beyond the life of the Empire.

The tactics she came up was combined warfare which is basically what the Allies in WW1 to win the war. It basically means using air, artillery, tanks, and infantry all together in a carefully co-ordinated attack to achieve victory. It was the beginning of modern military tactics so I wouldn't count Tanya out on that.

The higher they rise, the harder they fall. The Empire will eventually run out manpower and resources to continue the war. The 2 main reasons why Germany lost WW2 in real life were:
1. Not having enough soldiers on the constantly expanding frontlines. The more they pushed into Russia, the more they had to stretch out their frontlines which made them very weak against russian counter attacks. When the Allies opened new fronts in Italy and France it added even more salt to the injury.
2. Lack of oil. It doesn't matter how good your tanks or planes are if you don't have anything to fuel them with. The trucks were also very important as they quickly delivered new troops and supplies to the frontlines, without them the defender couldn't reinforce weak gaps in time.

Unless The Empire manages to secure the caucasus oil fields from the russians and they somehow manage to avoid any new frontlines to the west, their fall is inevitable.
