Damn the amount of dirty jokes is a bit unexpected for me. Never thought dragon ball's creator would think up those jokes.
| @Unkrowned There was a big protrayal of adelescent sexuality in manga and anime in those days, which was pioneered by Go Nagai in the 1970s. Akira Toriyama is inspired by Go nagai's works since super sentai and robots were the godfathers of shonen. Obvously times have changed and things are looked at very differently now when it comes to any depiction of under age nudity and perversion, but in these days it was mostly just considered cute and endearing. I guess japan had a very different outlook on this type of suggestive material, compared to america. |
