| It's kind of crazy we are finding out all of this so early, it's definitely kind of an information overload as you found out this stuff slowly throughout the series instead of all at once. Again, it's interesting that Shinji himself is finding out all of this. In the anime he pretty much remained in the dark for the duration of the series. Him finding out that his mother, Yui Ikari, was the one responsible for the EVA series and that he was actually present at her death.This explains his EVA related dreams earlier in the manga. |

| The manga definitely doesn't beat around the bushes when it comes to explaining what's actually happening beneath the surface to the viewers, through Shinji. I actually like this approach a lot better because it gives Shinji the time to realize and act against/for his destiny (sort of). Now that he knows he's basically a pawn (along with others) in this game of his father, it will be interesting to see what steps does he take. Also, don't get why Kaji might be considered as a 'bad guy'. His playboy antics aside, guy's clearly the one playing with fire right under Nerv's noses. For the sake of the well being of humanity I might add. |
