| hahaha, man the Initial D parody at the beginning of this episode was hilarious. The people they passed on the side of the road looked just like those in Initial D, and the guy talking was actually in the back seat, I was laughing so hard! Just had to mention it :D |

| What a great episode, I watched all the Initial D episodes including the movies and this was so well done, I mean a GTR vs a Honda NSX amazing! xD I loved the whole episode, the kite scene, the lion, and the ending with the bikini sumo jajaja funny stuff! Too bad its almost over! :( |

| The race was cool. The Kimono's are a great tradition, Tenma's imagination was funny along with what Harima was daydreaming about lol. New years look a hell lot more fun over at japan with all the festivals and stands.. Mikotos Gee uniform looks really cool. Oh gosh Eri was really a doll talking kindly to those kids.. the kids being bitten was cute. Lol poor lion being hunting down.. It was funny seeing harima stalking tenma in that lion costume xD oh gosh eri really just went along with it.. Kite flying, Card poem game, badminton.. the ending with calligraphy was good. |

| I can't say I've always been on board with the Tenma/Karasuma pairing, but I was really digging it in this episode. Eri annoyed the hell out of me at the end. |

| Despite me never seeing a single episode of Initial D I always know when its being parodied. Glad it didn't take as long as the previous episode's parody. That part where Harima ate Imadori was funny. Hmm?! Does Karasuma like Tenma!? Was he going for a kiss!? That kite battle was pretty hilarious. I love how Hanai was flying and screaming throughout the episode. |

| The race was great, car animations were splendid, they had same animation in Initial D ? so old anime? Harima should finally choose between Eri or Yakumo ;/ I don't know who because I like them both and I dislike Tenma ;/ btw why there is no Kozue Mihara what episode she get to shine? |

| That Skyline still looks sexy even after 2 decades! And that NSX! Oh man, seeing this reminded me of the fun times playing Gran Turismo in PS1. I noticed the art on those spectators transformed into Initial D. Haha Harima x Eri in that Dancing Lion was very funny! But also frustrating to watch at the same time. After everything Harima has done for Tenma, her heart and mind are still filled with Karasuma, meanwhile, Harima is wasting the affection of Eri, and I feel bad for her for putting up with him dragging her all over the place. |
| once again i skipped the cold opening, i hate anegasaki and never cared for street car racing in the least. What a coincidence, it's a new year's day episode too and didn't even leave this one for today on purpose. Instead, i adored Harima's opening dream sequence, too bad Harima x Tenma just can't become real. Lala, what the hell are you doing? Wow, this date had Taiko No Tatsujin already in the arcade, good for them, it wasn't too soon for it and in the late 2000's i wasn't aware of its existence yet. Poor Hanai. He's still flying into the next scenes including a nice one with Megumi and Tsumugi. Forgot about writing this in the previous wonderful episode, the second ED of Ni Gakki is also absolutely beautiful, discovering it the first time made me almost teary-eyed. Oh, well, to be honest it can still happen in present day, and obvious bonus points for including Magical Girl Mai with her hair down... god, she's fantastic. The after credits scene with the three pervs didn't seem to amount to something, but... HANAI IS STILL UP IN THE SKY AND THEY CRASH WITH HIM. Damn, it was a great, great laughing moment especially for how suddenly it happened. |
