Kurosawa's being so tactical. I think his assumption about armed baddies is accurate unless they're very concerned to face Kurosawa. If we accept his assumption there the rest is pretty intelligent. With less men he's trying to get the most advantage possible. 28 men with helmets, sticks to work as spears, and a surprise attack on top of the difference in conviction, to fight for one's life and home vs to have fun picking on the homeless. That's all well and good but there's certainly two more assumptions there, specifically that Sakaguchi's crew will join in when the time comes and that the men Ono dragged along will too. It's also concerning over Ono because I think we've only seen bravado and bullying from him, he showed cowardice against Kurosawa and Nakane. Even all the homeless cannot even conceive of victory. Like Kurosawa said however, to be in a life or death battle can awaken something in you, just like we saw in Kurosawa when he fought Nakane! So, I think the reinforcements other than Nakane aren't a great safety net but it's not like they're a bad choice either. However, it is notable that Kurosawa's big plan wasn't revealed to the audience so we can presume it will work!

Also, Kurosawa is being such a hero!!! He's put everything out on the table and if they want his help they better accept. This really does feel like the amalgamation of everything he's learned so far.

P.S. It's nice to see Nakane again!
