The third anniversary event of the High School Fleet anime series revealed production staff, a teaser visual (pictured) and a teaser trailer for the anime film on Sunday. The film is scheduled to open in theaters in Japan in early Spring 2020.

The 12-episode anime series by Production IMS, based on Takaaki Suzuki's (Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam script) original concept, aired in Spring 2016. Aniplex of America licensed the anime, which was simultaneously streamed on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Daisuki. A two-part sequel OVA was shipped on a Blu-ray and DVD volume in May 2017.
