Kurosawa is showing us that no matter how rash or clumsy or straight forward you are you can be a smart boy. He really reminds me of an arrogant Kaiji right now. He predicts his enemies thought processes, he predicts their fears and pressures them, he knows where they'll strike and how. He scans the area's for danger. It's impressive but with a little time skip it seems we don't know how much of it was trial and error! Still, it's interesting to see such a normally clumsy oaf act so cool and prepared.

As for the attackers, I scoped out the establishing shot while looking for danger. I just thought it was cool how lively it was. It felt like a real place full of intersecting lives and stories. I was completely fooled too as the two were standing up there before Kurosawa even came up the stairs anticipating him and laughing with each other, ready to push him at the first chance they got. If only Kurosawa wasn't so angry that he could have articulated that more instead of calling Inada a retard, he may have still found him cool. Speaking of that seeing Inada go from thinking Kurosawa was admirable to him being cool was nice.

But most importantly it seems, I thought Kurosawa was happy due to him being able feel alive and always be on the look out unable to worry about anything but giving his all to survive and thus not worrying about anything but being true to himself. While I wouldn't say this isn't relevant at all as we've seen him in the heat of the moment before, I would say he revealed the thing that's making him the most happy even outside of the fight itself. The fact that he feels admired like a hero, like a professional soccer player, he feels cheered for and respected which was his initial goal in the series and the thing that inspired him to fight for Nakane!

Lastly, it seems the time skip we got was because seeing him take on those three attackers and learn of what was occurring was enough, we didn't need to see any more of it, instead we skipped to the next chapter when the attackers grew smarter. Without obvious tells with Kurosawa be especially paranoid? Will the attackers still go after him now that one came out on top? Either way it looks like we're going into the next phase!
