The episode felt like it was setting up for the "greatest performance" as it's even mentioned by one of the characters. Poppin' Party is really preparing and advertising themselves for the live show. |

| Alright, come on people, the scene with Hina and Tomoe cheering for their sisters was unarguably the best scene of the episode right? XDD I couldn't help but laugh and smile when I saw that. <3 Returns was beautiful, gonna listen to it a couple of times. :) I'm glad Tae turned down Chu2 hopefully once and for all. Next episode looks like a full musical, bring it on. That's what I wanted anyway. xD |

| Great episode. I honestly woke up early this morning thinking this was the last episode, so looks like I'll be doing that again next week. I want Returns in GBP right now. I don't know what the words mean, but I want that and Jumpin' both in GBP because god I love them. And the PoPiPa dynamic is back! Happy to see Saaya back to her old self, and the whole Tae drama behind them. I'm getting more K-On vibes from PoPiPa, not for any musical reason, but much like the divide between seasons 1 and 2 of K-On, PoPiPa's songs are starting to mean something. In S1 of K-On, their songs were light and frilly, no real motif to them-- but as S2 came and went, their songs became more impactful, more heavy. They'd be *about* something, not just nothings (not that there's anything wrong with that, see: Fuwa Fuwa Time). With Returns, I'm seeing a similar thing. Maybe Jumpin too. Last week, I got to thinking that I was finally used to the 3d animation, finally, after 11 weeks. But it's still getting kinda hard, with only the main cast animated that way with everyone else hand drawn. Saaya's interaction with (I don't remember her name) her old band member, for example, Saaya in 3d and her old friend hand drawn. It kinda breaks the immersion, and it's pretty hard to look at. But graphics aside, this was a great episode, and I can't wait for the next-- and last? ahem AFTERGLOW IS PERFORMING HEY-DAY HEY-DAY OR RIOT BUT RIOT AS IN THE ACT OF RIOTING NOT THE SONG RIOT BECAUSE, WHILE RAS' "RIOT" WAS A GOOD SONG, IT HAS ALREADY BEEN PERFORMED ONCE THIS SEASON AND OTHER SONGS DESERVE THE SPOTLIGHT |

They're just adding some effects to the edges or lines to make it look somewhat hand drawn. If some parts look hand drawn to you then that's saying a lot with how far CG has come. |

| Next episode might be filled with songs performed by the 5 different bands, which I wouldn't really mind! I've very much come to love the animation and it's really entertaining to watch them perform. |

It's just really jarring. That's because Hand drawn is only done for Minor characters that only appears for very short amounts of time. While they use 3D for major characters that appear very often. This is done this way because you technically only need to do the 3D modeling once for each character then just anime it. It's A LOT faster and easier and cheaper to do than having to hand drawn every single time for lots of frames. Doing this also gives them a lot of time to do other stuff, like polishing or quality checking, and it also prevents them from not meeting deadlines because You don't have to spend as much time Animating characters as Hand drawning do. (as the character models are already finished, you just need to animate it and switch clothings (like how they do in games), don't need to spend time on re-modeling) |

| Not much really happened this episode (not complaining its a nice change of pace after the whole Tae and RAS drama), CHU2 gets angery, everyone makes a set list, Rimirin and Rinko make Popipa's new costumes at the speed of light and we get another new song that I'll be listening to on loop for the next month. |
