| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn, the defensive tactics of this episode is really impressive. To be that close to the goal and rejected. However, the one that really hits the mark is everyone rushing to the middle of the goal to block Tsubasa's huge strike. That's so intense. They're literally putting their bodies on the line to try and win. Very admirable. Honestly, I think the momentum of this match reached its peak. |

| Both team are persistent for wanting to win. Drive shoot blocked by all members of Furano. Tsubasa already in limit. All member of Furano went to goal in. Wow, that very first friend Tsubasa made calling him Captain Tsubasa. Tsubasa not giving up on the final few minutes and shot drive shoot from faraway. So Tsubasa's team won. Furano's captain is the one who held Tsubasa, who fell. Even Hyuga guy approved of Furano's captain. Furano's captain just realized her confession on the hachimaki, but too late. NamiDai's character helped him get to the airport. NamiDai's character also notices that Hyuga guy didn't improve much in junior high from the sixth grade that suffered three strong player then. A letter from the ex-coach? Is it about persuading current captain to get Hyuga guy to participate in the game? Furano Captain's ver. for ED (again). |

| Nice episode, very intense. But lol, the "effect" of the last shoot is probably the most unrealistic action of this show for the moment. Now, I hope Hyuga will play next match. I really like this character. |

| Damn, I really didn't expect such emotional farewell, Matsuyama is a great character, I just wish he would have had more screentime during the series. Actually, I enjoyed the "dramatic" farewell between him and Yoshiko way more than the conclusion of the match. Seriously, that must have been the most anticlimatic way to conclude it, that effect was beyond unrealistic but oh well. That aside, the next episode will definitely be great since both Tsubasa and Hyuuga will finally face each other. Really excited for it. Go Toho!! |
| An entire team blocking a single shot. That's insane. Still, my favourite scene will always be Tsubasa spamming his driver shot at that big guy til he flies into the goal. This one isn't half-bad either. Also an entire team running to get a goal, like they're one person. The final goal seems insane too, but enjoyable for an anime like this. As for that romantic part... Well, the captain could have had a bit better response. And if we are here, this topic: Rei366 said: phantomfandom said: Boys develop romantic feeling at an older age than girls. It's a remake of the 1983 anime, with no fillers and better pacing. |

| I hate the last goal. Furano played so well to earn the equalizer and Tsubasa wrecks all hope with an asspull drive shoot goal to end the match. Furano didn't deserve such a punishment. Besides the game we had a nice and touching romance moment between Matsuyama and Fujiwara. Matsuyama is the real hero of this episode. |
| 'Twas a nice wholesome story between Fujisawa and Matsuyama. Nice conclusion to the game. I feel like the 2-1 score woulda been better off anyway, the two goals in the end were forced |

| What is with the forwards always having a thing for their managers 💀 dude couldn’t think of any other romantic relationship, just club managers and players. I’ve been having this thought since I saw tsubasa for the first time. |
