THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

That Mayor made a stupid decision to trust the enemy who were trying to kill them. All of them would be Revisions fodder if not for Kuroiwa's plan, he's pretty calm considering their situation.

So the Mayor just served the entire city to the Revisions on a silver platter just to make himself look good. Well forget the Revisions. The people are just going to get themselves killed...

"Remote Communication Body." Just like Revisions girl last episode. Nico animates really good though. So Revisions...AHRV...who's the real enemy here? Humans?

So the Revisions are trying to revive Chiharu into a body...what's special about this Chiharu?

I wonder how Milo was able to break out of her restraints...

So "Materials" are the humans they need...

"They have no love for humankind. They're just a bunch of egoists." Hahaha! Now I can guess what the Revisions are up to. Welcome to the real world!

Now Milo has to return to 2010 to solve some problems. Hmm...I wonder if the next episode will focus strictly on Milo's mission, and when she returns to 2388, either things have changed a bit or things will still be as she left it. I was about to say that Daisuke and the others might have trouble dealing with the Revisions without Milo's guidance, but that shouldn't be a thing if it hasn't happened yet according to Milo...

Nicholas was probably the best animated character, thanks to this especially cartoony design. Not to mention quite an amusing fellow in general.

Posts like the one above make me sigh...I don't think there was anything "illogical" about the episode. I am going to say you can absolutely call some of the characters foolish or unreasonable, especially for briefly trusting the enemy faction, but that doesn't mean it's a writing flaw.

The logic at work is rather simple to understand. A bunch of villains offered a quick solution to the Mayor by using the bait of sending him and some other Shibuya people back in time. That would immediately appeal to some individuals who want an easy way out. He's not interested in actually defeating the Revisions or helping Miro. Selfish characters can be grossly mistaken, but there is a type of logic at work.

Both real human beings as well as non-existent characters can make equally wrong decisions. There's probably hundreds of TV series and movies where someone makes a similar decision to this one. If it is ilogical, then only to the extent that irrational impulses are part of the decision-making process of humanity. If nobody ever did anything wrong, then the history of the modern world would be very, very different.

How about the logic of String Puppet : designed to be operable by some specific high school students in the past. Very silly, if you know the reality of manufacturing high-tech weaponry which involves extensive research & testing - how could you do it with pilots that's still yet to arrive from the past?? and somehow they coveniently interface succesfully with daisuke & others in the first time

So here we go again with the usual mecha troopes. No explanation why those kids are the ones to pilot String Puppet. Would not it be easier to give Milo a one of them? Or give them to older people that are at least more down to earth rather than to this ego temper tantrum kid Daisuke?

They wasted a good opportunity for making our villains a little bit more dimensional. Lets say they transport Mayor on other people back to 2010. That would be more interesting to be honest. But hey they went with typical "it was a bait, you all will be killed anyway".

So... some random "government" officers wanted to sexually assault Milo out of the blue in the interrogation room... was that even necessary? Well, I guess they needed an excuse for Milo to release herself and kick their asses.

That aside, the Mayor trusting Revisions without a single doubt was utterly unrealistic (and stupid beyond belief), especially when they asked for the String Puppets and he didn't hesitate to give them to that woman.

Overall, it was an OK episode, at least I'm glad Daisuke wasn't as annoying as in the previous ones. I just hope that all that praise he received don't make his ego bigger, I wouldn't stand something like that, being honest.

Disappointing. The Revision bodies look lame. The mayor is not only self-serving but it's dumb that so many would just believe the Revisions when they didn't say anything that would convince one to believe one side over another.

Wow, the Mayor logic makes no sense, why he agrees to work with the revisions stating that Milo is a person from the future with no evidence that they should believe her? but he trusts the Revisions despite the lack of evidence. Still, the show needs an explanation of why those kids are the ones to pilot String Puppet.

The only good thing is that we know the Revisions's objective.

I didn't have a good impression of this series, what with Daisuke starting off as wanting to be a hero out of narcissism, nor did I find negotiating with the enemy - aka the one who attacked them rather than the one who saved them, while also giving Daisuke leadership simply because he was the first to be at all realistic because the adults are useless until the plot needs it, it seems, but--

Uh...

With the series mentioning 2017 is before the plague hit, I don't see this series aging well, what with how poor the plot is and the fact COVID hit a few years later, It's one of the reasons series that tackle similar content doesn't often time stamp the pieces in this manner.
