| Absolutely Loved this chapter one of the best ones this year. I can honestly say that throughout the past couple of years I didn't lie Obito one bit. But reading this chapter Left me in tears one of the saddest and most impactfull deaths in Naruto. |

| Now that Shonen Jump is offering most of their back catalog for only two dollars a month, it finally feels like it's time to finally go through all of Naruto. I've got a lot of fondness for the early portion of the series when it was first airing on Toonami way back when, but I never stayed up with it and there's no way I'm slogging through the anime adaption, so manga here was go. As a first chapter, this served it's purpose well. Naruto's character was established fairly well, and immediately set up for a lot of room to grow both in terms of personality and power. Naruto's goal was quickly established to, giving something of an end goal motivation for the readers, and I like that the series first chapter is dedicated to exploring Naruto's character more than anything else. His personality, backstory, power, relationships, etc. are all succinctly revealed with the Demon Fox aspect adding an element of intrigue to him. And while I don't necessarily care how Iruka blatantly outlines Naruto's behavioral patterns before showing his connection, I do like that it was at least set-up ahead of time that both of them suffered similar childhoods, otherwise this might've felt a bit more forced and corny. I will say, this chapter definitely reads like a first chapter, in a way that doesn't always come across as organic to me. Visually the series is fine at this point, I did really like the usage of onomatopoeia, with them matching the throwning knives & speeds lines, giving more power to the panel I think. Final note, the fact that Viz refers to this Art of the Doppleganger really threw me off and I'm almost certainly going to just refer to it as the Shadow Clone Jutsu regardless. |
| Finally restarting this, half a year back I read 9 volumes got bored. Did not give a fuck. Then I read One Piece, caught up, it's damn good. I read half of Bleach, I love it And now to complete the BIG THREE, let's give this another chance. |

| dunno why, i decided to reread naruto. for some reason the manga ver is highlighting more of the "revenge" eyes naruto have when he escapes after iruka saves him, in the anime it's feeling kinda rush. and the drawing are good, kishimoto knows how to pronounce feelings without words. |
| Ah man, I was so young when I first started reading Naruto. I actually read 3/4 of the serie, but I got tired of waiting a week for every chapter and stopped reading mangas altogether for several years. I still miss some volumes but I have enough to start reading it and will buy the missing ones along the way. This is gonna take me a while. |
| As a super huge Naruto fan, reading the manga was a must!!! Although I've not yet finished the anime (lol). Anyways this chapter reminded me a lot of the very first episode of Naruto!!! I felt really sentimental. I hope to finish this manga soon, at least in a year's time :) |
