| I know this discussion was already started but it didn't go anywhere. MAL says there are 53 chapters while there are actually 25. I read somewhere that they included all kinds of prequels and sequels in some Japanese releases. Is that it? But then why would those have their own entries? |
| I started reading the original Devilman manga recently and everywhere I see, it has 5 volumes and each volume is one chapter from begin to end. However, each volume has around 190-220 pages. I think the 53 chapters situation is a means for MAL to make clearer how long the manga is. |

| I'm very confused about this, too. I read the first (of two) volume of Seven Seas's complete collection, and it has at least 650 pages, so about three normal volumes' worth, but it's split into nine chapters. |

The Seven Seas complete edition is based on the Japanese Deluxe Edition of Devilman.
