| Speak for yourself. It wasn't as good as the first season, I missed the world building, but still thoroughly enjoyed it and very much looking forward for season 3. |

| Agree with OP, s2 was 90% harem shenanigans which were a waste of an interesting setting for me. At least the final battle was cool. Hope s3 won't be as focused on MCs relationships with girls. |

| IMO, both seasons of Sidonia are pretty good! Good enough to vividly remember it two years later: the dread of the encounters with the Gauna, the excitement of seeing the Gaurd pilots work together, being pleasantly surprised how the series took time off to explore the ordinary aspects of the setting, etc. My only complaint is that the council storyline felt like a meaningless waste of screentime as they were so underdeveloped - I can't name a single council member outside of Kobayashi - so it was hard to care about the events that unfolded there. Norio was also up to... something, and broke into some secured location... yeah, it says a lot when I remember the SoL moments more than I remember the "dramatic" tales of intrigue and conspiracy. I went on record in the other thread saying how I thought Sidonia was at its best when it juxtaposed the ordinary lives of the pilot with the intense Gauna battles threatening said daily lives. I've heard that if there is a season 3, it'd cover everything to the ending of the series. If true, I'm a little sad that we wouldn't get more SoL (since where S2 left off, S3 would need to dedicate all of its screentime to "important" intrigue, conspiracy, reconnaissance, etc to create a way for Sidonia to defeat the Gauna), but at the same time I'd be glad that Sidonia wouldn't be overstaying its welcome. There's nothing worse than a great story being dragged out for far longer than it deserved *cough* Attack on Titan S1 *cough* One Piece *cough* Gundam 00's second half *cough* |

| I dont remember it very well but I think I was also more into the first season. The rubber tentacle thing got really annoying in S2. |

| Comparing it with the first season, it is lower, but still it is very enjoyable and gives us great moments, it is the only series to almost 100% CGI that I like, and that I usually hate the CGI in anime series. |
