| I was a touch disappointed Sumika didn't call her "Ushio", but that hardly detracts from the awesomeness. Now if somebody could only license the manga and give a English paper release. |
| This ending is one of the finest I have read. Putting aside the oddness of a couple who has been dating for well over a year still never having kissed, the build up to their first kiss and the fantastic, loving, supportive, and proactive ending at Ushio's brother's wedding make this a tour de force in terms of yuri manga. I am eagerly awaiting the release of the first volume of Whispered Words from One Peace Books! It has been pre-ordered since January. |

| (1) Well.. I didn't get it: Kazama is not moving..? I wanna mean, she's not going to another city anymore..? I thought she would move to another city, see, Sumika even says about this subject again in the last chapter: "Because you're going so far away from me!" -> http://mangafox.me/manga/sasameki_koto/v09/c053/12.html (2) I think we'll never know about Koi and Mayu, right? =/ http://mangafox.me/manga/sasameki_koto/v09/c053/30.html And, there is something in particular that I didn't like: The skips of time. It was like: 45 chapters were in their 1st grade of high school; then, 5 chapters were in their 2nd grade; then, their 3rd grade was just the last 3 chapters in their graduation. Besides, right before their entrance to the 3rd grade, Sumika and Kazama knew very well each other feelings, and, during the whole 1 year, they never kissed...?! They acted a whole 1 year as they didn't know each other feeling well..?! Just like the first and the second years..? Just holding hands as it always was in the 1st and 2nd year..? I mean, it was clear their feelings about each other (not just for us, readers, but also for Sumika and Kazama)... it looks like nothing changed and happened in the whole 3rd year.... it's.. just strange... a fact of this is that their first kiss was just in the end of the 3rd year (in the graduation).... |

| Well, I never really post something in the forum, but I just finished reading it and I need to say something... No I most say something. I really like the ending. (Yeah its made me crying. Yeah I know I'm a sensitive boy) And I'm really happy to have bought this manga. Its now one of my favorit manga ever. ^^ I'm just really happy that Ushio and Sumika finish together. I know its just a manga, but man... Its touched my heart and when Sumika tell to Ushio that she whish to not graduated and stay more time in school to be with here and after that they kissed. That scene making me crying... I love it. |

I guess it's the second option. The last chapter was all about "preparing" their relationship for this. As for 3rd year thing: it's not strange. Well, as for manga. I remember chapter when Sumika was running to tell Kazama how much she loves her... and, well, nothing happened. I think it wasn't at the end of the manga. Lots of development happens because of external factor (e.g. Hachi blurting things to Kazama or Karate girl; Kazama's brother wants to move). I bet they both get relaxed because nothing interfered them and they know each other feelings so they were living happy live without kiss... well that's the author for you. As for manga & ending: I don't like how the author treated Aoi. She was almost absent till the last chapters. And I wished that her brother's secret would be revealed, at least Aoi should know. I wish more to read a more about Hachi/Miyako - mistress & maid/daughter of maid. I like how the author remind us that Kazama likes (liked) cute/clumsy/klutz people. Even at the end of the manga, Kiyori was named social klutz. Well, manga was dragged up, but was funny. 8/10 ps. I am wondering whenever the author made everything up or does he saw it somewhere (Aoi want to write about Sumika & Kazama - It might be a hint that he has saw something like this). |

| I kind of gave up on the prospect of any satisfying payoff during the last volume, but it turns out the mangaka was saving all of that for the very last chapter. The guy is crazy. So yeah, I had my doubts, but this final chapter delivered. While the pacing in the last two volumes was possibly the worst it had ever been in this manga, these volumes still had a lot of great scenes. The idea that the four-eyed giant and the titty monster wouldn't kiss for one and a half year after their mutual confession during their sophomore summer break made me want to bang my head against a wall, but I was able to explain it away to myself, with a little bit of mental gymnastics. It's also just so classic them to put off confessing - for real this time - until the last moment, right before they are supposed to go their separate ways. These two goddamn nerds. But if the useless additions suggest that Sumi-chan and Kazama made it work somehow, as they were still together after Lotte's magical growth spurt. And they might even get married at some point, when it becomes legal. Hello, marriage equality! It was also nice to see the supporting cast get their sendoffs. Judging by Mayu's intense reaction, it is very likely that Koi's implied confession can be considered a success. Special shoutout to Tomoe, as she's literally saving Europe (we definitely need it lol), along with apparently Akemiya, Lotte, and probably Miyako. Special special shoutout to Torioi for setting up The Scene. Yeah. I think the whole scene in the classroom, which took up the majority of the chapter, somehow actually managed to live up to its own hype. It basically had everything I wanted, and it was beautifully drawn. Kazama finally took action. She was the one to stop Sumika from leaving, scored the first kiss, and confessed first as well. And she called Sumika the cutest! Well. Somehow, they got there. |
| Been waiting since the forums were down to comment on this series. Woo-hoo! Fantastic series! I read this online and then the paper books. Utterly fantastic! It was always so weird how much taller Sumi was than Ushio, but it was also really cute! The ending in the classroom was phenomenal. The author really treated these characters with respect. I would've liked to see the first love-night and how Sumi dealt with it. This was a great series. |

| This manga could have been good if they cut about 2/3 of its length. I don't think I ever read a manga that was so full of meaningless characters and subplots. |

| Well, it had a lot of small issues, especially with side characters and some cliffhangers that were not well used, but my satisfaction with that ending made forget all of that. Beautiful story. |

| just finished this series, for the most part i enjoyed it, and I absolutely love Ushio and Sumi-chan together they're a perfect couple..... but it was also one of the most frustrating reads. couldn't have asked for a better ending regardless, worth the the frustration 8/10 |
