Shounen Sirius magazine's December issue has announced that Yasunori Mitsunaga's action manga Kaibutsu Oujo (Princess Resurrection) will receive a new series. It will start in magazine's next issue, which will be released on November 25.

Kaibutsu Oujo started its serialization in Shounen Sirius in June 2005 and ended in February 2013, with Kodansha compiling the story into 20 volumes. A six-volume spin-off series, Naqua-den, was published between February 2012 and September 2014. Del Rey physically released the first seven manga volumes between May 2007 and November 2009 prior to going defunct. Kodansha Comics USA began republishing the series in digital format in July 2016 and released the 19th volume in October 2017.

A TV anime adaptation was produced by Madhouse, which was broadcast in Spring 2007 for a total of 25 episodes, and an unaired 26th episode was included with the release of the ninth DVD volume. Three OVA episodes produced by Tatsunoko Production were bundled with the 13th, 14th and 16th manga volumes. Sentai Filmworks released the series in 2010, in addition to an English-dubbed re-release in 2012.

the manga was good but the anime was passbale at best
"If you tremble with indignation at every injustice, then you are a comrade of mine"

When the union's inspiration through the workers' blood shall run
There can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun
Yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one
For the Union makes us strong

Hopefully gives Kodansha USA a reason to physically publish the series as well, even if it's in omnibus format.

What a good time to be alive! Crossing my fingers for an actual sequel this time.
I'm more than willing to buy the physical volumes if Kodanasha USA decided to print them.

Let's hope for Rosario + Vampire Season 3 Manga next. ( I still have hopes for that, or at least a new work by the author)

More Riza? I'm always open to that. Someday I'd like to see a crossover battle between her abs, Mikasa's abs and Yukina's abs.

I'm in favor of this. Princess Resurrection was one of my most enjoyable manga in the last 13 years.
