dat dead fish eye look the mouths were weird too And the echo-y noise to their voices? Is that like a weird autotune or something? The movements matched poorly to the intensity of the singing. Ponytail girl sitting on the ledge at the library is belting out some strong stuff but she's animated like she's talking at normal volume. google translate the title to "I did not exist" yeah. I wish you didn't exist either. |

I think it's funny you mention that since some IRL Japanese singers do this. I first noticed it with M.O.V.E. (I think it was the video for Around the World, but it's been a while). The female singer's voice was intense, but her mouth was barely open in the video. Same with the first ending for Strawberry Panic. I've seen it in non-anime related music videos as well. I'm curious why they do that... I find it kind of interesting that it seems to be a shared problem between anime and IRL singers. |

For IRL singers; it really breaks the immersion that the singers are singing while in the video. I don't think anyone's end goal should have been "yeah I want it to look like the audio track and the video track are really two different things slapped together". Plus lol, the accompanying video where we see the IRL girls get transformed to their anime counterparts. https://www.bilibili.com/video/av12466812/ Has the song and they don't sing! It was posted on the official yt channel when I made the original comment but they're removed it now. |

It was posted on the official yt channel when I made the original comment but they're removed it now. Thanks for the link; I didn't know that video existed. At the very least, it's an introduction to the voices of the girls. My thought is that maybe they didn't have the seiyuu sing in the video in order to introduce them as ANIME idols, not IRL idols. Kind of like "this is the person doing the voice, but the real idol is the animated character." This may or may not be what they intended, especially since they ARE planning live events. I'd be particularly interested if it turned into a Magical Mirai-type event with the 3-D animated idols on stage instead of the seiyuu, but I get the feeling that's not their intention (less cost-effective than having real people sing and dance, after all). I realize the point of this whole thing was pretty much to jump on the idol bandwagon. It'd be cool if they tried a little harder, though. Let's get these girls some emotions.! Disclaimer: I'm actually not unhappy with the video. I think it could have been better (especially considering it's their first impression), but I'm easy to please lol... |

Its 2022 now. More idol type shows. MoCap tech has improved. Now you just hold up sticks and stand infront of the camera in your own home. Even small facial animations can be captured, but we still havent escaped the uncanny valley. Twitch streaming much more prevalent. Not just for games. Vtubers are a thing now. And a large viewership to boot. Watch someone draw in Indonesia and give them money. Bang! Dream does this similarly to the vid above. Their quality still sucks. |
