Bruuh.... They took the best character in the whole series and made him a bad guy. Then they took the most sentimental and annoying character and made her the good guy. They did this only so that they could have two characters for a bit of romance. If they were gonna pull such bullshit, why not do it earlier so that i am not attached to zaShunina.

Too bad this started to get worse with the end of episode 9. But this was to be expected ... the Japanese story writers just can't be without their typical extreme plot twists.

At least the background story for Tsukai in the 1st half of this episode was nice and explained a bit about her.

And about zaShunina ... well we still don't really understand his reasons. Apparently those anisotropic create universes and observe them and then "harvest" the information. And some (like Tsukai) have a non-interference policy. More info isn't given.

i can see in this episode has so many cliche -especially in romance part- that almost ruined everything. but let it aside.
actually i expect more ''conflict'' for nanomis-hein in this episode. but it didnt. i guess i just can hope they will do it in the next one.

I prefer Za-Shunina over Tsukai but I think this episode was interesting and well done. I liked how they have shown the creation of the universe, the birth of life forms, humanity, although maybe they should have developed it more than Saraka's past - but it was interesting too since young men and women can recognize theirselves into her (leaving their house to study abroad even if their parents don't want to or are worried about it...)
Za-Shunina is now the villain but he's not really sure about his actions. I just hope he won't die in the end.

About the "romance" part, it's okay from Saraka's side, she loves humanity, we can imagine she has also developed feelings for Shindo since they met. From Shindo side: he saved her but I don't understand why people are angry, he didn't tell that he loved her (maybe in the next episode, maybe not, I don't know). It was just a kiss from Saraka.

Anyway, this is still a good show.

Ffs that forced romance made me cringe af, I thought there'll be no romance in this show, but that goddamn preview with I think Saraka and Shindo kissing? What the fuck? Liked this episode, but that romance is just so unnecessary. And can someone tell me how come Saraka became a human being? Was she conceived like Jesus? Hahaha.

Half of the episode wasted on tsukai's background, which I don't care about. At all.

Thereafter ensues the cliched boy got hurt saving girl spiel and the Disney kiss, not to mention the naked upon awakening classic innuendo. Was Tsukai's slow realization about her being naked supposed to be cute? My eyes nearly rolled out of their sockets.

The only redeeming value was zaShunina's self doubt. He's questioning himself for the first time, and it was really interesting to see.

This show had so much potential, and could've been handled in a thousand different ways. Why? Just why did it have to go down this route?

Where are the negotiations? The impact of those anisotropic technologies upon earth's advancement? All those earlier episodes of realistic and detailed first contact scenario wasted. Judging from the preview, in the end, it all comes down to a fight. The anisotropic devices' potential will probably be left forever unexplored.

You pretty much said all the things I want to say, so thank you so much!

I have a lot of questions, too, like how does that ring of hers works? So, was she conceived like Jesus or something idk? That backstory didn't explain anything really.

This eps feel so short..

What i think about the kiss:
Saraka loves human, and shindou just happen to be one who've shown her the good quality of human in the vicinity, so that's why saraka did the kissing, one of human gesture for showing affection, which symbolize her love toward humanity.

As cliche as it is rn, i won't judge this show till i've seen all the eps. I've watched this far already, might as well watch it till the end

I loved the first half of this episode. A really interesting visual of how evolution as we know it a higher intelligence could be combined in one.

I hope the outcome is solved with negotiation and intelligence and not use of any weapons.

I didn't get the beginning. I thought Saraka, like zaish, was more 'living organism' type, not particles or spirit or powder.

I liked Saraka from human's viewpoint, now that she's Anisotropic being, with her millions years of living experience, she felt 'out of place'. Her sudden active involvement concerning Shindou's life, him pushing her out of danger from a fucking speed of laser, her saving him from 'kiss' and 'stripping', felt like indulgence to conventional anime antics.

The roll-back Shindou upgrade taking the stage to enlighten the mass to nanomis, while real one is a 'lucky sukebei'...

I think ultimately some anime expert was seeing something like this could come eventually. It's show about how antisophic stuff is bad idea in our world. Could had been another 12 episode and more expansion, then yeah it could been great for me since I liked the slice of lifish stuff of this anime (which I think we Mal users wasnt hating those stories even tho they are almost filer)

I thought the last episode of ep8 was a good thing, but Mal users can be sure clever sometimes.

For now the time being, I recently watched some anime and yeah I found this anime ultimately became common with those:

Really loved the antigonist of this anime (which were similar to those anime I pointed out. as i said that, only if they could expand stuff abit more.

Anyway, Good episode and hope my score is 8 or 8.5 toward the end of show. I was really really liking this show as it had similar taste that I liked of most anime.

That preview though. Shindo isn't safe yet.

Do zaShunina fanboys really exist?
I really enjoyed the fact that Tsukai's childhood is not CG animated (or the CG, if any, is not noticeable). Especially the animation of her father's movements. I can feel the father's passion on the animation. If the animation is in CG, he would look lifeless and without passion.
I still cannot say that romance exists here. Only hints are shown, which could be interpreted in different ways.
I don't know if anybody thinks of zaShunina as an evil antagonist and Tsukai as a good "protag". I think zaShunina is a gray antagonist and also Tsukai as a gray "protag". It's just a battle of beliefs. I side on zaShunina of course. The universe is created for that purpose. That's the default.
I hope the show ends in a successful negotiation. The show turned out badly so far.
Tsukai loves the humans and the universe, despite being hunted by humans about a million years ago. No trauma against humans at all.
Luthandorius said:

I also feel this way. My reason is the Tsukai reveal and the mess that happened in ep10.
Tokoya said:
Yes we've seen something like this before, but to say that this ruined the series and made it super cliche' is just stupid and quite frankly, I dunno why I'm even disappointed with most of you in this thread.....How is it even remotely bad for the story to play out like this?

The cliche is usually not bad, but it's bad here (for me, emotionally). The show's transition from "fresh" to "cliche" is not smooth. If this show is a bit more cliched on the older episodes, the impact of the cliche would not be bad, but the show doesn't show much cliche and some cliches it showed feels natural, which makes me expect that the show will not pull out cliches, and if it pulls out one, it feels natural. But in the last and this episode, the cliche just went out of a sudden that it feels that it's out of place. Also, there are many ways to heal our protag, but why must there be a naked scene? Why should kiss have to happen? How did Tsukai break the barrier? Why is there lack of foreshadowing? I think this show can make me feel better if they don't want me to ask those questions or if those questions are answered almost immediately.
Intellectually, I'm generally satisfied, with some issues of course. But emotionally, it's a disaster.

Never thought that Kado can surprise me anymore than it already does though lol.

Damm what an episode though

Hmm the twin revelations of ZaShuNina actually being a bad guy and Saraka actually being a anisotropic being as well was really surprising. The insight into the actions and discussions that the anisotropic beings discussed as the milky war was forming was pretty interesting. To think that Saraka had actually visited the planet even before the first man had began walking though. It was interesting to see Saraka transform into a human baby and decide to live on the planet as a human though. It was nice that we got to see different parts of Saraka's life as well. But despite his harsh words one can see that her father really was worried about her. It was nice that to see that Saraka actually really enjoyed being a human being and that she enjoyed her time in the states as well. Seeing how Saraka's life began and how she lived on the planet before flicking back to the present i felt was interesting and made her character even more so. Hmm Saraka's answer to ZashuNina about being this planets biggest fan though was hillarious but made a lot of sense.

The revelation that when she entered the cocoon Saraka actually gave up most of her powers was a surprise. Hmm so ZashuNina's true goal is to take humans out of the universe and into the anisotropic eh. Given that no more than a fraction of humanity will survive won't that kill millions. Hmm so he only needs one to succeed even if millions more die by being unsuccessful eh. Hmm still looking at what he says though it can be seen that ZashuNina is still set on advancing humanity even if it means killing a lot of them to do so. At the same time it was interesting to see and hear Saraka's view about this as well as she's been living as a human being for a pretty long time. It's also interesting to see Shindou finally have the courage to disagree with ZaShuNina though. Hmm so ZashuNina actually wanted Shindou to go with him eh. To think that Saraka actually at the moment of almost being hit remember all the memories she had with Shindou. A foreshadow of him being hit then i guess. I guess ZashuNina never factored in the possibility that Shindou would take the shot that would have killed Saraka i guess. Nice to see that Saraka too has a place where she can hide with Shindou as she healed his injuries though. Though not as powerful as ZashuNina was its nice that she was able to at least heal Shindou's injuries. Saraka's talk with Shindou as she healed him though was heartwarming. Shindou's response though was i guess just what a human would say lol. The scene where Shindou and Saraka rotated around the planet as Saraka explained herself was pretty nicely done and showed just how much she loved humanity. Seems that ZashuNina is intent with his plan of advancing humanity even after seeing Shindou take the blow for Saraka. Man the clone of Shindou looks exactly the same and you can hardly see the difference between it and the real one. Hmm the final scene though lol. It will be nice if they actually become a couple though. Both Shindou and Saraka have very similar personalities though and i think they will actually make a great pair. Though first they have to stop ZashuNina first though.

Hmm ZashuNina looks pretty damm dangerous with that energy blade though. So Saraka was able to sense when Shindou was in danger and at that moment teleport in eh. But man the sudden change in ZashuNina though. Things are getting more exciting in the lead up to the final. Never imagined that Saraka would be a anisotropic being as well though. The explanation in the beginning though was pretty interesting. As well as the little history lesson as well. It was interesting watching the various anisotropic beings talk and discuss among themselves though. Hmm so they were on Earth for a long long time then eh. Hmm so Saraka after exploring Earth millions of years ago transformed into a human after to live on Earth eh. I can see why Saraka respects and loves the planet so much then. Its nice that we also get to see Saraka's childhood as well. Saraka was cute when was little though. Even when little Saraka loved to explore eh. Man even when little she still worried her parents though. She looked like she really was a handful though when she was little. Hmm so her father wasn't too keen on the idea that Saraka was going to the states to learn eh. Then again i wouldn't either.

For her to be that ancient she shouldn't be damn shy about nudity.

There's a difference between being a passive observer and actually being enculturated with values from living an experience. Whatever Saraka was before, she's effectively human now.

Overall, I'm disappointed with both episode 9 and 10. Not quite "throwing my monitor out the window" disappointed, but I still believe that Sekaisuru Kado took the worst option.

Before episodes 9 & 10, we had a genuinely thoughtful series that explored the idea of a benevolent entity trading high technology in exchange for information. While it was hinted that there were other motives involved, I certainly didn't expect this. We went straight from thoughtful and intelligent to what effectively amounts to "Sim City: Anime Edition." I cannot properly describe how disappointing it is to learn that the grand concept is that the "universe" is essentially a passive simulation created because beings from xth exponential dimension got bored. Saraka's involvement definitely puts everything previous in a new light, but also bores a massive plothole into the story; why this era? Why Japan? Was she aware of Kado's arrival beforehand? To what extent was she a natural creation of her parents, or did she mess with "the program" to get them to create a body for her?

I can no longer maintain my suspense of disbelief for this series, and as far as I'm concerned, it basically took a nosedive down to being a generic shounen, particularly with the preview for episode 11.

So how many time before did zaShunina kill Shindo?

Just think about it, how long it initially took until someone got out of the Kado at all.

zaShunina was clearly experimenting until he found the right approach with his disposable test subjects.

This show just went from a 8 to like a 9 in my head in one episode. Can't believe people hate it.

zaShunina is painted as the villain that I always suspected he would be since episode one, but his morality is still gray. He doesn't understand what he does because he's so powerful. He thinks he can just kill Shindo to redo a conversation since he can make another.

I love the contrast of the naturalist anisotropic who has been reincarnating and appreciating humanity. Who had walked in the shoes of animals and man and wants to preserve the dignity of living in the moment and stop zaShunina from corrupting all the divine beauty of the randomness that gave birth to humans for his selfish gains.

As someone who has been consuming books, anime and movies his whole life, it is only cliche if you're looking at it in a surface level way and not appreciating the powerful undercurrents.

I also believe that if there is a god, his lack of intervention is because he's an observing scientist or just loves free will and letting humanity do it on their own. I got both of my guesses on the nature of god in one show. The beings who created the coccoons and the one who watches adoringly as things play out naturally.

For a while I wasn't sure if Saraka would die or not... I was sort of expecting her to.

Not sure how I feel about this. Before it was humanity vs other-side. Now it's not so simple.

One has to wonder, has Shindo already been replaced multiple times before? (probably unlikely considering Saraka's reaction)

ZaShunina become villain here, but he starting to regret what he's done.

now there's two Shindo, how the original shindo get rid of the fake shindo? isn't that the same as killing a "human"?

why Saraka lost all her clothes when switch back to her normal form? or she did "something fun" with Shindo in order to completely heal him?

I am still curious what's the third, they skipped the third and go for the fourth.

Birth of the universe, those galactic visuals man. Shows there were a few immortal anisotropics discussing the human singularity.
Tsukai cute backstory toward loving humanity & becoming the 'naturalist', felt like giant desuflag. Beautiful anisotropic dress too.
Yaha still believes helping humans, his right answer. He's rushing the Nanomis using Shindo clone now, creepy.
Hadouken vs at field pretty cool, & all those fractal bgs.
Yaha's rather shocked by the blood, seems reflecting on himself.

Saw a fake spoiler about Kado turning gay, but glad the reverse happened. Aw yes Tsukai kissed Shindo, ship is happening.

The ending with a naked Saraka is so cringy and disgusting. I can take a tiny bit of moe for comedic relief in a serious anime but getting naked for no reason? Jesus the pandering has to stop. That's why new age anime fucking sucks, they all feel the same somehow. Just like what Eminem said in his new album pretty much, everybody sounds the same.
