Mio's voice is really sweet but Nino's can express by far a lot more emotion.

Mio's voice, it leaves more impact to me than Saori Hayami's ver. this type of singing just doesn't suit her to be honest

I think I like Bootleg more as it is the version I'm more used to, but in truth, I have to agree with this:

You can tell Hayamin's kinda struggling to keep up with the instrumental.

It's sad, I like Hayami Saori and her voice but she can't do this very well. Allegro suits her better, I find.

I'll go with Bootleg.

I agree on this. I still couldn't decide which version I like more, though, because I like ED more than OP to begin with.

Ahh, well I like the OP more, maybe because I've been listening to it way more. (had it on loop some days haha) But both the OP and ED are really good. Can't wait for more songs!

I have a feeling the Alternate version is going to change down the line as she becomes a better singer. She has passion but no true control. Once that happens it probably won't be a contest.

Hopefully they told Saori Hayami to sing that way and improve with the character.

But yeah, I like both.

As a fan of Ayahi Takagaki and her singing I prefer Miou's version of cause. Although I think tprodussers one more time chosen the wrong style for her.

Ooh, that seems like a possibility, hopefully you're right about that!

True. I think that the production or whoever made Saori Hayami sing like she's not in control, just as how Nino does as she is struggling to improve her singing. Having read the manga prior to the anime adaptation, I was pretty much moved by the way Saori Hayami sang since I could really feel the vibe and character Nino gave off when she sings in the manga. Reaaallyyy Nino-like. More than I could even imagine, like, woaaaahhh! It made me fangirl sooooo hard!!

I do hope also that as Nino develops in terms of singing and in character, they would try to make Saori Hayami sing again in a better manner. The current version (Nino ver.) is just fine the way it is too, though, imo.

Nino's version isn't bad tbh but I prefer Mio's version more.

I think Hayami needs to practice more regarding on the singing when she can. Maybe its just the OP and she would nail more in the later notes which probably would be the other songs. Maybe.

The first time I listen to Miou ver. I don't like it, I think it doesn't fit with rock style the anime is supposed to be like Because she is singing in the very methodical pop style but i'm getting used to it well. But I like Nino ver. instantly because that is what i'm expected.

Both version are really good though, I don't get the comment about Nino's VA singing skill LMAO How do you expect she would sound like? singing it in pop style like Miou? I know Nino's VA is really good singer that Akagami no Shirayuki OP single c/w the best ballad from VA I've ever listen too voice wise and skill wise.

Listen to Nino's ver in HD quality, nothing wrong with Nino ver, she is singing like young rock maiden, rough, straight, blunt and not sticking to the sound is the way showing her free will and identity, Miou has nice sound her singing style is methodical, the way it sticks to the sound to fit her voice show her experience. Both version actually sound really similar if you don't pay attention, I won't call Mio has stronger and louder voice but she has higher pitch, meanwhile Nino VA is normally really good in low tone but her rock style actually on the point. So, the only different I see is singing style also i can't imagine Mio's VA singing something like spiral.

I agree with the people here who say that Hayami sang like that on purpose, because if you listen to the parts where it sounds like she's short breathed, Hayami clearly could have sang it less choppily if she wanted to. It's just Nino's style, and it sounds much more interesting than Miou's version imo, cause Miou's version is just too perfect while Nino's version just has much more emotion in it. If I were to choose to whose concert to go to, I'd choose Nino.

I'll go with bootleg though, because bootleg really is more pleasurable to listen to if you just want to listen to music casually.

Hmm, I think your perspective does make sense.

I honestly prefer Nino's voice, but I feel that this song does not draw the strength that it really does possess.

I want to add that Nino ver. make you want to look forward what to come from her with every lyrics she sings it likes itself become very expressive sometime I feel like everytime I listen to it, it becomes different and becomes much better, the song is itself is not typical rock it is hard to sing, I can't sing along with Mio her technique is too much but I did with Nino ver. I think it would be more fun to attend in no hurry concert with Nino vocal. Also you know the music production intented in making Nino sounds like how she is, in every Music production for album or songs they usually take several times to record until they can produce the best version, so if people are complaining about her singing complain to music producers.

I have played both of their version - full version. I have to say, I prefer Nino's ver. (Hayami's ver).

Hayami's version sounds rather choppy and sometimes I feel her voice is struggling as if she lacks technique in her singing, but I like that she sings something that is out of her safe zone; it is not usual for Hayami to sing in a rock style. Her version sounds more expressive as if she's singing with her passion. I would surely go for her concert if there is one, and don't mind listening anytime I want to. well, I have listened to her live concert songs btw

Mio's version however isn't really that strong or loud; her version also lacks expression which gives very little impact to me. What I have for her version is a 'meh' impression.

I may be biased about it anyway since I like Hayami's singing so much xD

Woah, Alternative is in the lead now. Guess it must be from those who don't like the more 'plain' voice or are just biased towards Hayami Saori.

It's seems I'm the only one who think that Nino's voice is horrible. False and bad to listen. I always take the volume off when she sings roars. But this is just my opinion.

Miou's voice has more of a pop sensibility, which works better in my opinion for this particular song. I don't think I'd like a Miou version of something like Spiral, however. High School is more of a pop-rock, melodic tune suited for Miou, while Spiral calls for the raw, emotional vocals Nino excels at.

I personally don't enjoy it either (tbh it often makes me cringe, though I'm guessing that was partly done on purpose). I usually really like Hayami, but I don't think her voice/singing fits this kind of song.
