That was a great episode! It was so relaxing and, at the same time, absolutely entertaining! Kanna is so cute adoring the rain. :D I love the cute interactions between Kanna and Riko the most from this episode. <3 If Shouta was a little older when he met Lucoa-san, I wonder what kind of situation would it produce? xD And Fafnir-san has devolved evolved into a gaming addict. xDD But it's still really fascinating how Fafnir and Takiya get along with each other while living together. Fafnir accepts Takiya as a human unlike the humans from the past who used to steal away his treasure.

And the next episode is the fanservice episode quite frankly. xDD Hooray! \o/

good episode the rain make it more relaxing, the maid part and kanna playing with her friend is funny and also cute. kanna surely loves the rain and fafnir and takiya have a good way of thinking who will do the dishes .. lucoa staying home in shouta's house , cant stop thinking of something else , the internet ruined me ..

Rainy days, and visits to the homes of Kanna's friend (who has a "maid") and Lucoa's master. (Who I swear reminded me of Bugsy from Pokemon when I say him) Plus a bit more of a look of the life of Takiya and Fafnir. And its now that I find out that Takiya's "normal" mode is not his default. He only shows it when he's with Kobayashi. (Though I remember him being in his otaku mode in episode 1, so I believe my hypothesis might not be fully correct; though in that one moment Kobayashi was drunk)

Another very charming episode. Fafnir's inner monologue is yet another strong one from this series.

This cuteness and yuri just overrides everything else... all other arguments are invalid. Ah, I also enjoyed watching Fafnir's continuing spiral into NEETdom and his friendship with Takiya is very relatable and fun :D

An actual yuri scene?
An actual non subtext-bait yuri interaction scene?
An actual textual scene that can't be misinterpreted as "friends"?
In A KYOANI SHOW?
Well Ill be damned, Kyoani just might escape from being queerbaiting asshole company in a decade or so....who am I kidding they won't as they will most likely follow this up with more ambiguous queerbait crap shows but oh well while it lasts gotta give props where credit is due.

So far this show has been quite meh but this actually made me raise the score a bit.

I still can't believe that my favorite opening and endings this season are from this show. bahaha

I don't know why everyone thinks that Kanna and Rika(?) are implying something sexual. Its comedy based on being flustered at the closeness of a crush. and finding them irresistibly cute. Like damn, have none of you even been young and in a hopeless crush? only to find out OH HOLY SHIT THEY ACTUALLY ENJOY MY COMPANY. THIS IS THE BEST EVER.

I think its super cute and while it's a little over the top, this IS a story about Dragon maids...

Yet another episode guessed, the story line without a hitch and I think the AD Marchionne they can be happy too, since it shows a Fiat Panda, maybe will sell more cars and Pomigliano d'Arco's site, it will produce more. Interestingly, as you can recall even Fafnir and its coexistence with Takiya, pretty good the excuse invented to place Lucoa, in the human world, and the input stage of the Shouta character. Drawings and animations, excellent, ditto for the OST. The director is, cultivating well my desire to see the character of Elma, dying of curiosity to see her. The Georgie entrance, was very good and fun, beyond the aspects not so original, his personality is really nice.

That Shouta boy brought it upon himself when he rejected all the alternatives.

That boy puts up waaaaay more resistance to Lucoa than I would have at any age (I can remember back to just after I turned 2)

I've seen people complain about age differences in Demi-Chan and The Ancient Magus' Bride, but here we have elementary schoolgirl x a character thousands (?) of years old (in loli form) :D

I'm not sure how old Kanna is, but her psychological age isn't that much different from Riko.

This episode was beautiful. If last episode was all about Tooru and Kobayashi, this episode was about depicting the different kinds of relationships from a childhood crush to the deepening bonds of male friendship. Can't wait to see Lucoa and Shouta get more development. I don't know what they plan to do with their relationship, but I do hope it's going to be along the lines of a mother/son thing.

I loved how Kanna and Saikawa just get closer and closer. Saikawa has actually stopped being arrogant and has earnestly admitted her love for Kanna. Gorgeous stuff. Everything is progressing beautifully.

I wonder if people actually understand that Kanna and Lucoa (and the other dragons) are not properly socialized humans. On one hand, I actually applaud the show for making us aware of how non-universal our lofty ideals of morality and decency are.

Also, it would seem that from lipreading Kanna, she was hoping for them to lick each other, which would be a reference to a previous episode. So, lewd by human standards, but a sign of trust and friendship among dragons.

I thought Shouta was a girl lol. Screw you Shouta, I wish Lucoa would be my succubus instead xD

Fafnir's speech about Hits or Misses is my favorite part of this episode. Who would've thought this scary-looking, anti social Dragon with a strong distrust for Humans, now having a good relationship with one. Props to Takiya for introducing Games World to him.

This is why pinnacle of romantic plotlines in anime is "they held hands errrybody!" and what enables the queerbait content like literally in every single kyoani show before this.

What's wrong with showing that a character being sexually attracted to someone? There's nothing "dirty" about being bluntly clear what it means instead of beating around the bush via subtextual cliches.

Romance is sexual attraction. If you are adding romance, you are adding clues that someone is sexually attracted to someone. The faster the anime media gets that into their heads, the faster we can move past the shitty tropes of "long walks while holding hands" as a pinnacle of showing a "romance" between characters, which, when talking about LGBT pairings, usually gets met with retorts of "they just friends y'all" from homophobes.

Children that age usually aren't sexually active. What's being shown here is adults projecting their weird fantasies onto children. That gives this whole thing a strong pedo vibe, and I think every normal thinking person would see it that way.
And if anyone says "But Kanna's technically not a child..." I'll smash my head into a wall.

But she IS not a child. The story does not treat her as that. You can complain about her being depicted visually as a child but the sexual attraction was there from the start, it simply was made crystal clear here. Thematically its not in anyway different from what was in previous episodes. Just clearer. Somehow character literally going to almost orgasms when interacting before was okay but this is not? Either everything or nothing.

So you either remove the entire concept of attraction or you actually commit in showing it. There's nothing else Kyoani could chose beyond something like literally changing character designs(which nobody would do to be honest no matter the content). If you are writing a romance, that includes characters being sexually attracted to each other. That's what romance is in the first place.

Might it surprise you to learn that girls sometimes as young as nine can start masturbating? Children can become sexually curious and try to explore their sexuality on their own. Parents usually put a brake on that, but in this case Kobayashi wasn't in the mood to notice, and Tooru probably didn't care since I don't know, probably dragons have different standards for those things.

Maybe it'll reassure you to know that the blanked out part of Kanna's sentence at the end is too long to be mating or sex. One viewer theorized she might have said "nameaiko" which means licking each other, in the way dragons close to each other do in this show.

Either way, I think it's too broad to label this as full-on sexual exploitation of children. There's no adult involved, only two children of (visually and perhaps mentally) same age being attracted to one another.

It doesn't matter if the scenario where two prepubescent girls are trying to have sex is relatively possible or not. The problem here lies in fact that it's morally wrong to fuck children, alright? And in order to avoid childrenfucking we have to avoid turning children into an object that can be fucked. And the exact oposite happens in this episode.

And her saying "licking" doesn't make it any fucking better, mate. All the trope pedo excuses in the world won't be enough to save this scene

First post for this series, and I am enjoying it a lot.

Concerning Kanna's and Riko's friendship, and the advance it took this episode (and the storm it's raising in some circles)... maybe having been an anime fan for 25+ years has de-sensitized me to some things, but personally, I can't really understand some of the reactions. Yeah, that scene would be a bit "creepy" to some, but compared to some of the over-the-top loli-yuriness at points in such shows as Fate / kalied liner Prisma Illya, it's quite tame to be honest <shrug...>

The children are super gay. Of course far gayer than what the anime showed according to the manga, but whatever, a lot has probably already been censored that I can't remember, as well as a lot that I do remember. Also twister is such an inappropriate game, no matter the age. And maids. Maids are great. The Ex-Goddess and Shouta finally get their episode and it was very entertaining to watch. And then we got Takiya and Fafnir, which was also nice. A good episode again.
