Tatsuya said some intense stuff in this episode. I like how Nitta knew exactly what he was thinking.

96 episodes in, and Tatsuya STILL continues to annoy the fuck out of me. First he was too 'considerate' to come out from under his brother's shadow. Now? He's too wimpy to admit he's better than his brother - him having had more talent all along.

Never before has a male lead irritated me as much as this. He's had his dream girl all but throwing herself at him - open about her feelings and always there - and all the gutless wonder can do is splash water over her face. GOD!

I'm not quite sure what he was thinking when his hand met with Minami's, midway through the episode. But, going on his pained reaction, I can only conclude that he was torn between wanting to bone his wet dream girl and not wanting to go down a road that would reveal he suffers from erectile dysfunction.

Nitta would be far better for Minami. I don't like how he entered the picture as a love rival, went AWOL for 30ish episodes, and then gave up all on his own - not even requiring a rejection - but at least he was kind and extremely understanding towards Minami... unlike my new least favourite character ever.

I had hoped the last stretch would make up for the third quarter, but if anything it has gotten worse due to there being near to no Minami time. And, as much as I care about my beloved 2D <3 girl, it probably would have been for the best if I'd dropped Touch before the filler coach business got going.

Oh Koutarou <3

Tatsuya's completely messed up. That guy has no clue how to deal with everything. Oh well, we've still got 5 episodes left and I'm confident it'll work out okay.

100% SoL episode, loved it.

Another good episode.
SO THEY WONT SHOW THE KOUSHIEN GAME. Just the final before it.
How many teams get to play there? Is it 4 and then 2 games

Tacchan is indeed struggling emotionally; it seems he can't deal with the fact that he got this far, and he's obsessed with the idea that it was Kacchan who made it possible by possessing him or something. The vexing part is that he raised his voice against Minami when she was sensible, and tried to tell him that it was his own merit. It seems her father was right to a degree, "it's Kazuya who is taking you to Koushien", huh...

This episode confirmed it, everyone thinks that Tatsuya surpassed Kazuya. Aside from the fact that Tatsuya is convinced that his brother brought him so far(which is true in a sense) I really like the idea to go the Koushien in order for Kazuya to rest in peace. The grave scene was overall really strong, but the rest of the episode was able to match that, entertaimentwise.

I liked Nittas part as well. His implied confession and that he's going to give his best as the "enemy" were neat.

Koutaru as sleepwalker reminded me, what happened to his girl Natsuko?

And lastly the coach, he's more conflicted than ever, fully knowing that people trust him. Almost seems like the complete redemption.

Perhaps Tatsuya already surpassed Kazuya in skill even though he may not think so. Maybe winning the finals and going to Koshien might change that perspective. Ah yes of course you were sleepwalking Koutarou ಠ‿↼ not going to tell Natsuko that (even though we haven't seen her in 30+ eps)

This was a really well done episode, reminded me why I got into this show in the first place.

I do wonder if some of the posters attacking Tacchan for being spineless and not sweeping Minami of her feet as soon as the curtain fell in the crematorium have ever had a close brother. i do, and losing him would be like losing part of my soul. I'd never even consider stepping on "his territory" just because he isn't there to defend it. Because he isn't there to defend it.

Tatsuya just doesn't want to disrespect his dead brother's memory because that's the only part of him he has left. He always looked up to Kazuya, people telling him that he's surpassed him is like telling him his brother's life was meaningless. While Tatsuya keeps the dream alive he feels like Kazuya isn't truly dead, admitting that he got there by himself means letting go and Tatsuya's not ready to accept that.

Taking the girl Kazuya loved and was all but destined to be with as well would be almost like spitting on his grave in these circumstance the guilt would be unreal. Remember Minami never heard that Kazuya would never give her up even to Tacchan.

Anyone else realized the OP is over 2 minutes long? That's a pretty monstrous size. Anime OPs in general are too large for being intros when you think about with average OPs being 1:30 minutes long. Crazy how we take that for granted.

Why the heck Minami still has the helmet after Nitta dropped her off? I'm using it's the helmet Yuka usually wears while riding her brother(!) cause there's no reason for Minami to keep one, unless she rides him too off-screen.

Getting a shard of glass stuck in your feet must hurt like a bitch. Idk how the demon withstands it. The scene involving Koutarou walking into Yuka's room was comedy gold.

It's weird, even Sachiko and Kuroki are going to come see the finals according to preview but somehow Natsuko who's the girlfriend of the captain didn't come watch a single game? The author definitely forgot about her.

I also agree with this 100%.

In the past Tacchan used to think he could never measure up to Kacchan (even tho that's BS) and now he thinks he got possessed by Kacchan or something? I'm surprised this sort of thing didn't happen sooner.

Anyways 5 episodes left. I hope the game with Nitta won't last long so some of the ending episodes can be dedicated to more SOL stuff.
