I didn't read the manga but I heard that the final episode of the first season had some differences with the manga. Maybe they're going for an original scenario

I think they went with an anime original scenario for when Kei and Kou left the village so that they could stretch out the material in the last episode. While it was more dramatic and overblown than it was in the manga, it's not a change where they can't continue adapting the manga. Polygon Pictures did the same with Sidonia no Kishi iirc, in that it wasn't a perfect 1:1 adaptation, but they were still faithful to the source material's plot. Plus the third movie's PV seems to be adapting the manga, and the first season hadn't incorporated the stuff from the third movie (not sure where the second movie ended actually). They could end the second season with an original ending though, given that the manga isn't finished yet.

so they decide to not only cheap out and use cgi but also change the story?

useless bastards can't get anything right.

Despite the CGI animation, its a great series, you love the story enough to like the animation a little... But I would definitely watch it

if you watch Sidonia no Kishi, Polygon did better than manga. Well, in manga it's kinda rush and freaking trolled fans. I read Ajin manga and it's not very interesting until Poly make it into anime cgi .. well can't compare it with good studio like Ufotable or madhouse, but still good (just fix dat 10 fps it will be perfect) ..

Not sure if you're being serious.

in no way can cgi improve on a story.

nah not that cgi, their story plot is better IMO .. cgi well we all know we hate 3D but I think Poly really did a great job making it... they are small studio too,

I'm definitely very excited for this...hopefully Kaito will show up again because it's like they just kinda forgot about him in the first season.

Netflix won't have it up until mid January or early February. I watched the 1st Season on Netflix and I'm also going to watch 2nd Season on Netflix.

Judging from the visual it will most likely be following the movie rather than the manga.

Actually, you're right. Netflix uploads the episode, three days after it airs in Japan. The thing is, they only do this on the Japanese server. For the rest of the countries, Netflix releases it a month after the show finishes airing. They make sure that they sub and dub the show in English, French, German, Italian and etc.

yeah, I find the series very good too. even though I am not a huge fan of the main character. find him a bit boring, but Satou is my favorite. Too bad he have to go down.

Sc**w netfilx imo. Only reason I watched it there is because I found it there. Why wait? Well, in my case it's hard to wait. So kissanime is my only hope. :D

Ajin is not my most anticipated anime for Fall. Not even my favourite anime. I'm already planning to watch 6 anime this Fall anyways so I'm good and I'm going to watch the 2nd Season once its out on Netflix.
