| I just realized why Shiro's "No one ever got rich off this kind of work, right?" line sounded familiar: it was in the previous episode. In context, Mina quoted that in reply to Kouko quoting "If I don't show off here, I ain't gettin' another chance!", which brings a lot more meaning into this scene: if she doesn't say goodbye now, she won't get another chance to do so. She smiles at Shiro when she says that, acknowledging the reference and taking comfort that Shiro is still there, and replies with "And now I'm broke" because she was able to say goodbye, the work that nobody ever got rich off. Man, this is good. |

| kinda sad that this took the PG-13 "nobody dies or gets injured" approach, takes the thrill away if you already know that there isn't really anything on the line. Does the german girl really have to go though? I liked her best out of the bunch. At least they finally found the german ship.. |
| The naval battle proposed in this episode is quite involving, even if in truth it is the collective that is the best thing about this episode, with their comedy and sympathy. The commander loli was the only thing that was missing, but that they could not even put as far as I was concerned. Excellent drawings and animations. Without certain style falls, perhaps this anime would deserve more, despite the characters being all girls, oh well! |
