this work is popularly in 2002, so its really low chance to animate in 2014.

Yes there is: http://purelove.ni.siois.in/

Shaft and Aniplex are apparently listed in the code of the website as well.

While I'd really love to see Zaregoto get an anime (in the hands of Oishi), my money is on the countdown referring to one of Zaregoto's spinoffs, the Saikyou series. Would like to be wrong though.

definitely not
while I am passionate about Kamiyan, he's already married off to the Monogatari franchise so let him stay there

The day has finally arrived. I'm glad I'm alive.

For Ii's voice, how about Takahiro Sakurai? But he might fit Zerozaki better, heh.

I. CAN'T. BELIEVE.

MY BOY HITOSHIKI WILL BE ANIMATED????????????????? HOLY SHIT

But... I don't know if the anime will be able to reproduce the "Zaregoto" feeling without Ii-chan's narration over the story.

BUT STILL KUNAGISA, II-CHAN, JUN, HITOSHIKI AND RIZUMU IN ANIME
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Most likely won't ever happen.

Japanese reception wasn't very good, from what I heard.

I can see Volume 2 being animated, mainly cause it's SHAFT and its Akiyuki Shinbou and it's NISIO ISIN, so chances are always there. Just depends on the timing.

In a way, I want Volume 2 to be animated since it's easily the strongest volume of the Zaregoto franchise whereas I have issues with the other ones that I've read, but at the same time, I was not a fan of how the adaptation for the first volume stretched it out far too long, slowed it down so much with a cast that just doesn't have that same chemistry and eccentricity that Monogatari had with carrying long stretches of dialogue (also partly since NISIOISIN was new to his writing game here since Vol 1 of Zaregoto was his first work) and I didn't like the character designs used here, instead of having Take's designs be featured instead like how White Fox and a different director handled Katanagatari. It just felt like a weird mismatch with tons of other little issues that made me not enjoy the anime version of Kubikiri Cycle whatsoever. Still, if pacing can improve by a lot, the second volume would look like a very good anime in my opinion.
